Peace and Quite

We have stayed here a couple of times now and enjoyed a positive experience on both occasions and found it to be good value. The site is large and generally well maintained, the access road carries a fair bit of farm traffic and can get muddy in wet weather, however it is paved and the pitching areas are fairly level so the risk of getting stuck is minimal. The site is well placed for a number of circular walks with direct access to the Viking Way long distance path, most of these walks pass one or both of the villages two pubs, both of which are dog friendly and serve food. Free range dogs (and chickens) do occasionally wander on to the pitching areas from an adjacent property but as far as I am aware these are nothing to do with the site owner who lives elsewhere in the village, and in any case are not really a problem. As well as the CL I can recommend the two village pubs, the nearest being just yards from the site entrance, and defiantly a visit to Hambleton Bakery, on the road to Exton.
