great little find

We visited this site a few weeks back for 4 nights and found Ivor most welcoming. The site was clean and quiet and super for the dogs to play ball, with plenty of footpaths to explore. We knew the area well as we grew up here, and of course everywhere has changed but this little site was so natural and peaceful to return to in the evenings. We will certainly use again if visiting the area. Stefan and Jackie. Wales

The perfect spot for walkers and wildlife lovers

17th- 18th June 2023 We really enjoyed staying on this gem of a site. The owner, Ivor is very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding countryside. It is a quiet location and offers lots of lovely walks and beautiful views. Will definitely be returning for another weekend break and to see Ivor again. A little footnote : despite it being a June weekend we struggled to find any local pubs catering for evening meals for the two of us. Ended up in a Lebanese restaurant in Tring, which turned out to be great fun and super food.

A delight in the Chiltern hills countryside

We stayed here for 1 night over the end of May bank holiday in 2023, We was greeted by Mr Gregory who showed us our pitch and the set up! on arrival to site we stopped at the main gate and phoned ahead and Mr Gregory met us there. This is a lovely site and its location is really good for a week or 2 stay to explore this end of the country. The site has everything you need if you are used to CL sites like us then this site is a must stay, I think some people get used to having full facilities and don't use there van for its full capabilities and if you have your own washing facilities and toilet then why do you need shower blocks! as we were only here for 1 night we did not get enough time to explore but we did walk to the Half moon Pub which has a lovely beer garden and its accessible through a couple of fields and a nice walk along a canal! as we are sort of local to this site we do visit other CL sites around this area and when We come back to this site We will stay longer. If you love walking like us this is a must to explore the plethora of walks and or if you just want to chill for the weekend then this is the site for you! We did film an arrival video to this site for our You Tube channel please see the link below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLF7Jp2pJ9o

Lovely site, brilliant location and friendly owner

We stayed in our campervan for just one night mid April to escape London Life and it was exactly what we had hoped for. Excellent location, peaceful with plenty of public footpaths straight from the field where we could explore. Ivor was a great host, he welcomed us and went above and beyond to help us get the van out of a muddy spot! The field is simple, with Electric, water and waste disposal, no toilet but this was fine for us. Two great pubs in walking distance. I would highly recommend and we look forward to returning.

Very Peaceful

What a beautiful find! We only live about half an hour away from this site and was looking for somewhere nice and quiet. Gregory’s field did not disappoint. It was easy to get to and we had a very warm welcome by Mr Gregory. He was very accommodating and let us arrive earlier and even leave later. The site itself was surrounded by trees and hedges. We had the field all to ourselves so we had a choice of where we could pitch. There is no electric but we knew this when booking and it didn’t bother us as we were only staying for 2 nights. It does have an Elsan point and fresh water. You may need some levelling blocks depending on where you pitch. If you want peace and natural beauty this is the place. At night apart from nature sounds it was extremely quiet, no traffic or a main road to worry about. There were so many walks and cycling routes. The surrounding villages were beautiful and all have their own village pubs if you want refreshments and a bite to eat. The Grand Union canal is in walking distance as is the reservoir which is worth seeing. We will definitely be coming back here. A fantastic site to just get away and enjoy some peace. We thoroughly recommend. Thank you Mr Gregory.

Exactly what we were looking for

We were at Gregory's field last week. We had initially booked 3 days and then extended again because we liked it so much. We loved the well-kept green field with lots of space and peace for us and with sun and shade, depending on what we wanted. We were able to relax very well in the rural surroundings. The owner is very kind and helpful. There is a lot to see in the surrounding area, e.g. many National Trust mansions. It is easy to get to the local pubs by bike or on foot. There is drinking water on site as well as the possibility to dispose of the chemical toilet and a rubbish bin. Everything is well maintained. We had a wonderful 5 days. If we are in England again, we will gladly come back to Mr Gregory. Corinna and Jörg from Germany

What a lovely little gem of a site

We choose Gregory's Field for a weekend stay as we live not too far but it is far enough to get away from the bustle of city life. We contacted the lovely owner the day before on the off chance that they was any availability and luckily for us there was. The booking system was really easy and finding the campsite and following on google maps was a easy but be aware that the CAMC sign is visible, if you come from Long Marston way but a little hidden if you come from Puttenham Village side (also road from this way can be narrow in parts and busy). We were made very welcomed by owner and were told that we were the second visitors to the campsite since opening as a CL for CAMC. The site is wonderfully maintained and has an Elsan point and Fresh water, which is all we need. There is a plethora of public footpaths just outside the site, and two pubs within 15/25 mins walk (Long Marston and Wilstone). We walked the dog to the pub in Wilstone for a spot of lunch and then to Mead Farm shop. We saw and heard a varied amount of wildlife within the site and surrounding fields. This site is a definite for walkers, dog owners and cyclists with all the public footpaths and cycle ways to explore the Chilterns. Would we come here again....100% Yes!!!!

Great site - warm welcome

We were the first visitors to Gregory's Field since it has become a CAMC CL. Booking process was simple and we were given a warm welcome on arrival. The site is very peaceful with lovely views. There is a water tap and an Elsan point. There are 2 pubs within a 15/20 minute walk. Would recommend.
