We stayed on this site for a weekend break and it was all we could ask for! Peaceful & Quiet, lots of space between pitches, well maintained, helpful owners! We asked if we could stay a bit longer to take advantage of the day prior to leaving, offered to pay for another night, this was refused. The owner came out to make sure and help that we got hooked on okay (I am a woman, usually without my husband, with three kids...), and seen us off safely! Very close to the M6 for an overnight stop off either going North or South. Close enough for access to the main Lake District if required (this was what we used it for). Exceptional views! Statics don't appear to be holiday lets so not a lot of activity. Only five there at present and only one had someone there while we were there... Considering our first choice CL in the Lake District asked for £24 per night for 1 adult and 3 kids although they advertised £15 all inclusive, at £11 per night this CL was absolutely a Charm!!!
