Another great CL with wonderful views

A lovely CL within a 30 minute walk of Ilkley by road or take the footpath down beside the river into the town. The hard standings were flat, a good size and the site overall is well maintained with lovely views. Ilkley has it all, views, a river, shopping, Betty's Tea Room and plenty of parking with a mainline station to Leeds. The site is in such a good position for tourists visiting the towns of Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pately Bridge, Skipton etc but within an easy drive up onto the Yorkshire Dales National Park and its stunning scenery. Our tv and phones had a good reception using the 3 network. Our hosts were friendly and easily contactable if needed. We would recommend this site to anyone wanting to explore the area.

Ilkley Moor windy

2nd visit to this site, kow with more experienced eyes. Great location for Ilkkey & surrounding area. Very clean & well kept. However, electric only 10 amp & road noise from main A65 just alongside very apparent & even at night, alot of heavy traffic which once heard can't be ignored. Exposed windy position, so make sure you strap any awning down well, although as others have said, pitches are narrow so space for awning is limited anyway. Plenty of notices about contactable owners if needed, otherwise you are left to your own devices which we like.

Super site, loved it!

We stayed 3 nights and had a super stay. Pick your own spot, we close the farthest from the gate. Absolutely spotless site with great hardstandings with glorious countryside views. Walking directly from the site, about a mile into Ilkley or along the River Wharfe in the other direction. Bus stop just outside site. What’s not to like ?

Fabulous place near a great market town!

We stayed in January in our campervan. It's a lovely site with 5 x hardstanding pitches and a great view down to the river. It is right next to the main road but, as you're downhill from it, you can't hear it at all and it's really peaceful. We walked into Ilkley along the river with the dog.... lots of lovely bars, restaurants and cafes and, if you need to stock up on outdoor gear, lots of those shops too! We walked back after dark along the main road. The site has fresh water, water disposal, recycling facilities and EHU. It really was a home from home and we will be back! :)

Fantastic 5 van site

This is as near perfect as you can get for a 5 van site. Easy access off the A65 and suitable for all sized units. Beautiful views across the fields and hills. Obviously a bit of road noise due to its main road access. 30 minute walk into Ilkley either by the river side walk or main road which has paths all the way into town.. an excellent base for visiting this beautiful area. Will recommend and will return.

Lovely CL

This is a lovely CL with beautiful views. Great dog walk on site and brilliant walk to Ilkley. We had no issues with the electric and felt very relaxed and happy. We would have left 5 stars but the tv reception is not brilliant and we did hear others commenting on this. There is also a little road noise but not enough to bother you. We would not hesitate to return though and it really is worth a visit.

Access to lots of places of interest and well maintained site

Beautiful peaceful site, well maintained with lovely views across the valley and at this time of year the sheep and newborn lambs (and rabbits!) in the field in front of the site, so you can spend your time watching these! Easy to walk into Ilkley, either via the road or alongside the river or walk the other direction to Addingham. The site owner repaired a water tap as soon as he was made aware of an issue, which was a speedy response. It also snowed during our stay and the friendly owner came out during this time to check everyone was okay. We will be back!

Wonderful site.

Just had three nights at this wonderful site in such a lovely location. Individual hard standing pitches and well laid out site facilities. Good access off the main Skipton to Ilkley road. Although I did not meet the owners, instructions and payment method was clear and sent by email. They were easily contacted by phone if required. Although only 10 amp EHU we never managed to trip the power and it was - 1 degrees whilst we were there. Will definitely return.

A faultless site!

This site is perfect! Well maintained level hardstanding pitches with loads of space on gravel and grass for your sole use. Everything is clearly signed, including what can and cannot go into the recycling bin, which is very useful. In some CLs there is no way of knowing! The views are lovely and there are numerous walks from the site. The dog walk area is another advantage, the largest I have yet seen on a CL. Ilkley itself is delightful with a great selection of cafes and shops. The site is also ideally place to visit numerous beautiful places nearby, for example Bolton Abbey, Skipton, Burnsall. We will definitely return.

One of the best on the CL Network!

Great location, with walks from the site into either Ilkley or Addingham along the river. The pitches are large and well spaced apart (your towing vehicle is parked in front in tandem) and all have fabulous views across the fields, and the sheep. Each gravel hardstanding pitch is level and has its own EHU. The site itself is very well maintained. There are two water taps, one at each end of the site and an area for the recycling/bins/waste. Access to the site is very easy, no narrow roads and entry to the site itself is by code on a keypad on a large gate. Owner is very friendly and keeps the place spotless. There is minor road noise, but the location, site and view override this and did not affect us at all. Will definitely be visiting again, as it is very difficult to find any fault with this site at all.
