Disappointed

Having read previous reviews we wondered whether we were on the same CL! We had pre-booked by telephone and arrived late at night. Having found the farmhouse and barking dogs we had difficulty in locating the field in the dark as there were no direction signs and nobody at home. There was no motorhome service point that we could find and the hardstandings were neglected and overgrown. We did not use the toilet or showers. Chemical disposal was a crude wooden funnel with a broken lid. On the third day we finally managed to contact the owner who had apparently returned from holiday. Very disappointing.

Good site for motorhome

Paid our money never saw anybody again. Toilet clean Shower good ,but you have to put token in 50p for 8min from farm( out side shower big red arrow to put token in). Plenty of hooks in shower mirror towel rail and a bench.. Good views nice 30min walk to 3 pubs along quirt road with a few pavements pubs dog friendly in the lovely village of Wallington. First one mainly food . 2nd one down hill on left more of a pub but do food. Beautiful area even if it was very showery. no trouble getting motor home on and off. will be back

Working farm CL

This is a very nice site. As has already been said, Mrs Marsden is most welcoming, the shower and toilet were spotless (better in some respects than older CC showers) and the pitches are spaced out with lovely views. BUT.... Be aware that this is a working farm where sheep are milked twice a day and other farm tasks are going on most of the time.   We loved the hustle and bustle but some members may not.

What a fantastic CL

This site was recommended to us by some friends & I am so glad they did. It is a gem of a place, wonderful views & lots of small villages to visit. There is a shower & toilet that are nice & clean. The owners are very friendly & welcoming - we will be back.

Warm Welcoming Lady at super site

What a fabulous site this is. All hardstandings, kept extremely tidy, with a spotlessly clean toilet and shower. Mrs Marsden is a super lady, very welcoming and helpful. This really is a great place to stay, the views from our van were wonderful and the surrounding countryside is gorgeous, Pendle Hill seems to follow you everywhere! Plenty of places to visit and the local towns have all the shops you need for your stay. I recommend this site and we will certainly be returning. Mr and Mrs Hyett.

Nice Farm CL Site

A really pleasant site set in lovely countryside, but follow book instructions as some bad bends on other approaches. Warm welcome and extremely helpful when we had a slight mishap, pointed us in right direction for best help that was good swift and economical. One shower and toilet that was clean , ok if you use own facilities like we do, would reccomend and stay again,Open all year.
