Slightly over priced

having just left a c.l. site that had amazing views and all amenities including a full laundry facilities for £28 I was a bit surprised to find this site, although spotlessly clean shower and w.c. was charging £30. for a night. No laundry, and very close to a fairly noisy road. Although I will add that the road seemed to been quiet at night. We where on way home, so just a night stay, and perfectly nice.

Lovely site

This is a superb site with everything as it should be. The pitches are fairly level, the shower and toilets were nice and clean and the pond which is teaming with fish is a beautiful outlook. Graham is attentive and usually on hand to answer any questions. Yes there is some traffic noise, but it’s a country road and the traffic is not passing at any great speed, so for us it wasn’t really that noticeable. There are some great walks from the site, one of which takes in the pub in Framfield, and we would certainly visit again if in Sussex. Thanks to Graham and his wife for a very special site.

Little gem of a campsite

Been looking for somewhere in the area to stay of which there are few with facilities unless you want to pay £60 a night and what a find. Perfect CL which would put some club sites to shame, arranged booking easily with Graham via email and was met by his wife Kate upon arrival who showed us around and left us to set up where we liked. Site is all grass and firm enough for our Motorhome on a gentle sloping field overlooking a large pond and surrounded by countryside, all pitches seemed level and the one we were on was fine and no ramps needed, the site is meticulously maintained and has good gated access. Each pitch has it's own hook up and water and there is a spotlessly cleaned toilet for each male & female and a separate shower as well as a chemical disposal point. We will definitely stay again as it is only 8 miles from the Bluebell Railway and Uckfield has every amenity you could want.

Lovely site

Lovely CL site. Positives- good location, easy to find, lovely setting with own lake, clean facilities which including 2 toilets/ 1 shower / washing up facilities / waste disposal and notice board. The facilities were nearby and within a purpose built building. The pitches and field itself was v well kept. Negatives- small pitches, not really an issue for us as we are only small but large outfits take note! Ran out of toilet roll 2x on the 3 nights we stayed there. Smelly chemical waste point....sadly we could smell this every day. Some road noise but this didnt worry us. All round a v pleasant stay with friendly owners. Will be returning.

Motorhome What a lovely site little bit of road nosie, lovely grassed pitches clean male and female seperate toilets and shower cubical, pub with very good food only 5 min walk away. We used this site as a centre to visit local coastal towns and found it a good centre for this.

2 night stay in camper van

We stayed the weekend at this lovely site, it is small and perfectly formed☺️ Quiet apart from a bit of traffic but that’s not the owners fault, the jackdaws were noisier and who minds a bit of noisy nature?? Gorgeous pond, wildlife and scenery. Owners are just lovely and Graham even sat and had a beer with us when we arrived. The hare and hound just 5-10 mins walk does wonderful food and the staff are amazing, we can’t wait to come back again, Thankyou ☺️

beautiful place

Lovely little site, beautifully kept. Clean modern toilets and shower.Lawned. Walk to decent pub serving food. Welcoming and helpful owner. Pond with family of Canada geese are a delight. The negatives? Quite small pitches but not terrible. You can park in front of your pitch if you want or park in the car park that's 50yards away and in sight. The biggest drag for us was the road noise. Nothing the owner can do about it. It seems its a bit of a rat run. Most of the noise is in day time. This is the nicest CL we've stayed on and you don't get something for nothing and why should you?

Expensive, Noisy and Small Pitches

We found the site without difficulty and greeted by a chalk board advising us of our pitch number. We drove the caravan into position with a little difficulty as the ground was wet. The pitches are very small with only just enough space for the van and awning. The car had to be parked in the car park. The site was adjacent to a very busy road which was very noisy. It was difficult to hold a conversation at times. The setting of the site is very attractive with a small lake. We were there at the beginning of April so the full beauty of the vegetation was not in full bloom. Very well appointed and clean showers and toilets. A tap and electric outlet was available for each pair of pitches. Unfortunately while we were there the ground to these was very boggy making access difficult and muddy. The Club book quotes from £20 per night which we felt was expensive but when we offered to pay we were told the price had increased to £30! We felt this was a rip off and after later discussion it was reduced to £20. So beware check price first!
