Great communication prior to arrival by Louise. As it was our maiden voyage in our newer caravan, we didn't want to go far so, within an hour from home, we arrived at this lovely site. Turning off Horncastle Road, down the little lane, we were greeted at the gate by Doug, who showed us where to pitch. We were on a plot the size of a football pitch, with views of the horses in the field behind us, and our own water and electricity hook up - wow! We were introduced to Cora, the lovely friendly and giddy Border Collie, who kindly presented Tony, our BC, with a "squeeky" toy [thank you, Cora]! Big decision: do we walk to Hubbards Hills via the Golf Course, or Louth town centre? We did both! A pleasant walk, either way. Even a short evening walk down the field was possible. A lovely quiet site, with easy access. Friendly hosts who took the time to chat and check we had everything needed. We will be back .....
Peaceful and friendly
We stayed here last week - for 5 nights - beautiful site , flat, large pitches on hard standing. Easy walk into Louth which is a delightful market town. Surrounded by lovely countryside and well away from main road. Very helpful friendly owners.
some really nice touches such as a hut with books and a woodland walk.
We are cyclists and found lanes very quiet with great cycling.
Electricity is not always consistent - our fridge kept bleeping as not enough power getting to it - particularly if we used another electrical item such as heating or hot water. Doug and Louise are aware of it and have plans to rectify.
It didnât spoil our stay though and would recommend highly.
A lovely peaceful site with a warm welcome.
We recently had a 2 day stay at this lovely CL. This is a peaceful site with fantastic views over the Lincolnshire countryside. It is set away from the road, down a lane with plenty of space to pass should you happen to meet someone coming the other way.
Louise and Doug couldnât have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. We arrived at 8 pm and Doug came out to show us to our level hard standing pitch, despite missing his football team kicking off on tv. He took the time to explain where everything was, including the ample dog walking areas.
On that point, both Louise and Doug made a real fuss of our young Border Collie Tess who had a good run around with Cora their friendly and energetic Border Collie.
This was our first stay at Happyford CL, but it certainly wonât be our last.
Little gem
Just spent a night here. Wish it could have been longer. The view was amazing and took me by surprise when we went through to the cl, which is hidden away from the road. The picture on the web site does not do it justice. The new owners have made improvements. Large hard standing pitches. Ideal for motorhomes all year round. Walk into Louth possible. Good value at ÂŁ15 night. Would definitely love to go again.
What a fantastic site.
We have been visiting Happyford for at least 7 years. Great views and a peaceful site. No problems at all.
The new owners Doug and Louise are so friendly and helpful. They have put In new hard standings and fences. Always on the go doing something (No talking Louise, you have work to do đ). Itâs really nice now and with the hard standings we can visit in the winter for a chill out (big motorhome).
Others have reported problems with the electricity, we have not had any problems but have noticed voltage drop when other campers heaters cut in. We know they are looking into this issue.

Simply loved it!
I really enjoyed my first CL experience and site stay, at Happyford - it's a great spot! Louise and Doug couldn't have been more welcoming, a lovely couple, who helped make my 70th Birthday stay a delight. They could have fixed the weather though :) Seriously, I can't recommend this site enough, ideal for a quiet break with a lovely view of the Lincolnshire Wolds, in the charming market town of Louth. Hook up, no problems. My dog Diesel loved it too.
WE'LL BE BACK!!

Thank you. Excellent. Fabulous to meet the horses: dogs honey and Cora. Special thanks to Doug. What a wonderful little site. Couldnât ask for more. Peace and quiet and fabulous views
Best views so far
Arrived at this lovely cl to be greeted by Louise. Very friendly welcome and guided to our pitch. What a lovely pitch it was. Beautiful view of the rolling countryside.
10 mins easy walk downhill into Louth with its beautiful Georgian houses.
Would definitely recommend if wishing to tour the area.

New Owners
Good communication with owner Louise, who took over about 7 months ago. Lovely views from the site, some background traffic hum but we are particularly sensitive as we come from a very quiet, rural home! Easy walk into Louth, a pleasant market a Town. Pleasing walk to Hubbardâs Hill and on into the Town.
A short walk into Louth
Lovely CL with a couple of hard standings, a short walk into Louth (10-15 mins along pavement). Louth being an attractive market town with many independent retailers and eateries. Close to Cadwell Park and walking in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Nice valley views from the site with horses in adjacent fields. New owners friendly and welcoming.
