Nice location. Quiet, with easy access to Louth - nice market town with good amenities including pubs, independent food shops, restaurants and even a small cinema. Nice walks in surrounding countryside. Main drawback was the inadequate power supply. It’s a known thing here. The circuit breakers never tripped but the supply was insufficient to run the fridge continuously on electric (beeping and warning lights) nor power the Alde heating adequately. Expect to use gas if you come here.
Hacienda ranch
Without wishing to detract from the location, views, amenities & Mr & Mrs Garside's efforts to welcome their guests with an information pack it is not acceptable to ask for a fee £2 more than that advertised on one's entry on the Club site. If we are asked to submit a review which can be done almost instantaneously is it too much to expect CL owners to update their entries & most importantly their prices on a regular basis? I am not persuaded by the argument that it was the Club's fault when under the Trade Description Act a misrepresentation is still what it is ' a misrepresentation of the facts'
Sorry if this sounds harsh but too many CLs use the umbrella 'from £X' as an excuse to overcharge
Perfect for peace and quiet.
Just spent a second week at this site within a month. Cannot fault it. Fabulous views. Peace and quiet. Very friendly site owners. Within walking distance ofbLouth and Hubbard's Hills, beauty spot.
Cannot recommend enough.
Shame the weather wasn't quite warm enough for me to use the swimming pool, which you are welcome to use anytime said Vera. Maybe next time.

Winter break
Lovely site and in a great location for accessing Lincoln, the lovely Lincolnshire beaches as well as the many fascinating museums, including the Battle of Britain Memorial flight at RAF Coningsby which is a must visit. The weather during our winter stay was, on occasions, cold and windy and we and others on site were disappointed to find that the power supply wasn't able to deliver enough power to heat the van and run the Dometic fridge - so make sure you take plenty of gas as a contingency if you're holidaying here in the winter. Otherwise a great 10 night stay!
Make sure you have a pitch on the CL
Over the last 2 years, we have been regular visitors to this lovely CL Site. Indeed I have written two glowing reviews. It has become a favourite of ours, however, on our last visit we were left bitterly disappointed. It is not the first time we have arrived to find the site overbooked but in the past we have been able to position our unit so that we could get electric from one of the spare electric points. We recently arrived in the pouring rain, to our long term booking, to be told that because someone, already on the site, had asked to extend, our pitch was unavailable. The owners offered us an unlevel gravelled space that is set among the equestrian facilities to which they can "run electric to". This is not what we had booked and it was far from suitable. We had no alternative but to try to find another site at short notice in dreadful weather! Perhaps it would have been courteous for the owners to notify us that our pitch on the CL was no longer available. I would suggest that you check with the owners before you leave home that you have a pitch on the CL!
Enjoyable Stay
We recently enjoyed eight nights at this lovely site. The welcome was friendly and helpful, and we were given a welcome pack, including all sorts of local information about the site and surroundings which was a nice touch and we found extremely useful! (Grey water wasn't a problem as the owner said he preferred the water being put at the base of the far fence adjoining a plantation of fir trees.)
We enjoyed our stay and will definitely go there again!

Great Site
This is a lovely site within walking distance of Louth. We have stayed several times and the site is always well maintained. The views are great and it is only a 10 minute walk into Louth ("The capital of the Wolds"). If you haven't visited the market town of Louth before then it is a must as there is so much to see and do.
Lovely site for exploring
In 43 years of caravanning we had never stayed in Lincolnshire before and chose this site partly because of the good reviews and partly because of its potentially convenient location. We were not disappointed! Having set up in the far corner of the field with beautiful views as far as we could see, we were able to walk into Louth and explore what turned out to be a very nice town with many independent shops. During our 4 night stay we were also able to visit the east coast and the delightful city of Lincoln without too much mileage. Our corner of the field did become very squelchy after the one deluge of our stay but had dried out considerably after a couple of days. We would certainly recommend this site and hope to return ourselves on another occasion.
Extensive views
We stayed at Happyford CL in early June as part of our seven month tour of the country. The site was well kept and has extensive views.
The information hut was a useful facility and we were made to feel welcome.
Louth is a ten/fifteen minute walk away and there is a scenic route that takes a bit longer but well worth it. (The owner will provide details as part of the welcome pack).
Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the walking in this area. You can see our walks on our blog www.twodogsandanawning.co.uk
My only gripe is that this is another CL that expects you to lift the grey waste water container eighteen inches off the ground.
If in the area we would stay here again.
Top Site
Just had 5 day break at Happyford. Very enjoyable. The site is pristine and overlooks miles of uninterrupted views over the Wolds. We spotted the roof of 1 house and the odd car on a distant road, other than that it was horses, grass, trees and birds! A 15 minute stroll takes you to Louth town centre which has a delightful bustling market. We will be back!
