Jewel in the crown of the Wirral

Our first visit to this area of England, we were not disappointed. This must rate as one of the best sites we have stayed on. Peaceful, reasonably flat, and welcoming. We did read that someone could hear the nearby motorway, we never heard a thing in or out of our caravan. It did rain overnight on one occasion but it was sunny during the day but a bit chilly. We walked the Wirral way. And as it was my 64th birthday we crossed over the Mersey “by ferry” to do the Beatles tour and to look around Liverpool. Again what a fantastic city this is, the amount of improvements that have been done to this place over the years is quite staggering we really enjoyed our visit. Needless to say we’ll be back again soon as we never saw all that we could as a weekend stay was just not long enough. Dolly came to visit while we were there and our little westie couldn’t make out just what it was or how to behave with her. I’ve never known a dog to be frightened of a sheep before. So if you intend visiting this area of England this year, next year or whenever, then I would really recommend this site. There are no toilets or shower here, but that’s not a problem for us as we have those in our caravan and we don’t mind using them. The fresh water and Waste area is very clean and not a million miles away. With the added bonus of good ‘4g’ coverage while we were there. What more could you possibly want. PS:: can’t comment on the TV signal as we don’t have a telly in our caravan but we had good radio reception though. Looking forward to returning “in the warmer weather “. Thanks for a lovely stay.
