A wonderful spot
Harome Heads Farm is situated in the midst of some stunning N Yorks countryside. We used the site to visit nearby Rievaulx Abbey and as a base for walks. Helmsley and nearby villages are very attractive and we would have visited them if the cafes, etc, were fully open.
The site is also attractive with grass ‘pitches’ in a small field with trees. (If it was wet, then I’d anticipate some difficulty in leaving). We had to find our way around the site to find for ourselves water point and Elsan Point (in adjacent field) as the owner was not around. Indeed we only saw her in passing, although she was available by phone, etc, prior to our arrival and departure to wish us well. Payment is made by BAC. There is no grey water disposal.
Overall, a good experience in reasonable and dry weather.
