Brilliant CL

We have just spent 4 nights on this brilliant CL. It is a large area with some lovely trees and a delightful small pond. So much wildlife to see and a very easy level walk to the coast. We agree with the other reviews you may need a very long electric lead but the helpful owner warns you about this when you book. We chose this site to be near RSPB Bempton Cliffs, about 10/15 mins drive away and were rewarded with some really good photos of Gannets and Puffins. ( You would need to be extremely fit to walk there via the coastal path!)

One of the best.

Have just spent a week at this beautiful site. Very easy access & pitch where you like in a very spacious orchard. As previously mentioned some spots may need 2 electric cables, but not a problem if you come prepared. Easy walk into Flamborough & to the beautiful coastal path, ideal for dogs. Highly recommended.

Just the ticket

A very pleasant adults only CL set on the edge of Flamborough village, near the resort of Bridlington. The site is accessed by taking a sharp right turn just before the Church, follow the road around a tight bend and then turn right along the access road which runs beside the C&CC CS its of Beacon Farm. There are one or two small potholes to be aware of. The CL is then on your left with another filed used by the owner on the right. This second field is without EHU and can be booked for a discount of £5 per night on the standard fare. The CL itself is a large paddock type area with the possibility of parking on hardstandings for about 2 outfits, near the entrance gate. Otherwise it's a park wherever you want to site. There is a small unfenced pond at the bottom of the site (hence the adults only rule) where you can park adjacent to and watch the resident Moorhens go about their business (this year was pleasant watching them raise 5 chicks). The main drawback from parking anywhere is the siting of the EHU bollards, of which there are 3 (x2 on each one). They are all near the front portion of the site and you should carry an extra cable. We were quite close to an EHU but someone was using the 2 outlets so we had to use 2 cables to stretch to a further one. The site is well sheltered by mature trees and needs to be on occasion being close to Flamborough Head. There are 2 bins, one for general waste where you are asked to bag everything, and one for dog waste. The Elsan point is a bit basic but adequate with its own water point. There are 2 water pipes for drinking water. The owner no longer lives at the farmhouse but in the village and he will call every day between 9 and 10 am. A pleasant gentleman to talk to. The grass by the way is kept short and was mowed twice in the week we stayed. The site itself does undulate slightly so levelling blocks are advised. Dog walking is easy from site. There is a Public footpath which runs past the Beacon Farm site that leads to the coastal path and another about 1-- yards down the lane that will take you towards Sewerby Hall and onwards if you want to Bridlington. You can quite easily walk around the Head itself to Bempton Cliffs and return without using the car, making use of one of the 3 pubs in the village. The bus stops near the church and this will take you to Bridlington or Scarborough/Filey. There is a Co-Op in the village and one or two general stores plus the pubs, all serving food, as well as the Seabirds restaurant. We enjoyed our stay on this conveniently placed CL and will return when next in the area.

Lovely site with great walks on your doorstep

We stayed here for 2 weeks mid June our caravan and 2 small dogs This site is situated within the village of Flamborough with walks direct to the town centre or onto the coastal path all within 5 minutes. The site is flat and well drained lawned pitches with a hard standing area. The electric hook-ups are spaced a bit oddly around the site and therefore I would advise taking an extension hook-up lead or an extra long cable. The site is ideal for visiting Flamborough,Bridlington and Bempton with a vast array of sea birds. The owners are extremely helpful with local knowledge. Will definitely stay here again, not just for the beautiful country side but for the kindness of the local people.

Very nice CL

Great place to stay within walking distance < 5 mins from coast line. Very nice owner. Great place for walks as there are some public footpaths close by. When staying on this site with a motorhome a long hose for filling up water and a long lead for electric hookup is essential as the tap and the hookups are placed on the grass far away from hardstanding area.

Hidden Gem

If you like walking then this CL is for you. You can walk left directly from the site gate over the fields where you can pick up the coastal path. You can then walk to either Flamborough Head or Bridlington, there are also lovely hidden coves in either direction. Before you get to Bridlington there is the Ship Inn that serves all day and a nice restuarent/cafe/pub at Flamborough Head. In the village of Flamborough you have the choice of a couple of pubs plus a post office & Coop. The site is well kept and very tranquil, the owner being very friendly & helpful. Being Adults only is a real bonus as there are no footballs to contend with!

A peaceful site

We only booked a week before our stay and were very surprised to get availability for our 3 night ''holiday'' Very clean / tidy / peaceful site with easy access and well sign posted. Great access to coastal paths nearby. Only down side is that due to the site not having defined pitches , ie the owner lets you pitch up where you like, you may need a very long EHU lead. Plenty of water taps and a waste disposal point for the loo. Owner requests that Grey water be tipped around the trees and hedges. Richard the owner is a very nice gent who gave us tips on where to eat out...thank you Richard we will be back soon :)

Superb CL

What a haven of peace and tranquility! Stayed 2 nights to give ourselves a whole day at Bempton Cliffs RSPB. This site was a perfect location at the beginning of our 2 week Scottish holiday, a great place to unwind. We shall certainly be returning in the not to distant future.

Best CL Ever

In our experience all caravan Club CL's are first class. But we feel that Hartendale Farm is the best of the best. Easy access. Hard standing and grass pitches. very very peaceful, beautiful surroundings and walks along the cliffs. Bempton RSPB site is only a couple of miles away. The site is about 300 yards from the cliffs. You can get to Danes Dyke by road or along the cliffs. (less than a mile). It is a lovely walk along the beach from Danes Dyke to Bridlington when the tide is out. Bridlington is couple of miles one way- Filey is a couple of miles the other way. (By road). Both have supermarkets. If you need your Wi-fi you can log on in the Bridlington Mcdonalds. Richard the owner is a lovely man, very easy going. We've just come back and we can't wait to go again.
