Pretty and Tranquil + Motorhome parking

I called Harry to book and found him really helpful and friendly. Finding the site was slightly nerve wracking as it leads you down a width restricted road, however it leads straight to the farm and isn't an issue. The plot is really peaceful, the only noise is that of the geese and turkeys who will greet you on your way to the toilets, they are tucked away overnight so do not disturb your sleep in any way. Toilets and shower are perfectly sufficient, but take a torch after dark! The river running along the bottom of the site is lovely with clear water and there is a footpath running next to the farmhouse for easy access to pretty walks,(not cycle routes) about 30 mins walk to the Compasses Pub which was really lovely, friendly staff and great food. Various possible pathways so worth having an app such as maps me. We took the motorhome out and about and managed to park without any problems both in Fordingbridge (car park opposite the rugby fields) and close to the farmshop a couple of miles away. There is also easy parking at the New Forest Water Park, they will open up the overflow car park for you if needed. Parking with anything bigger than a car at the activity centre where we booked archery, axe throwing and crossbow , isn't possible, so plan ahead for that one. Activities great fun though, so worth the effort. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hawkhill Mill Farm and would be very happy to go again
