We stayed for two nights in April and wish we could have stayed longer. We had a warm welcome from Emma who showed us where everything was and said we could pitch anywhere in the field as we were the only ones there. It was incredibly peaceful and we were very lucky with the sunny weather so we could sit outside and enjoy the fabulous views of the countryside and Hermitage castle. There are some lovely walks and we enjoyed watching the lambs in the field and listening to the river (hermitage water). You definitely need levelling blocks and there is no electric but this is exactly what we wanted so we could test out our solar panels! We will definitely be back here next time we're in the Scottish borders. Thank you for setting up this idyllic site!
