We decided fairly late last week to make the most of a day off and have a 1 nighter somewhere local. Glasson Dock is only an hour away from home so ideal. On arrival, blackboard with our names on directed us to choose any pitch up in the paddock area. Grass pitches only but bone dry underfoot so not a problem. Warden had told me on the phone that she wouldn't be around to take payment but would catch me at some point. £13.00 for a lovely overnight stay in fabulous peaceful surroundings. Very good dog walks in the area and we ventured along to the coastal path and had a walk. Site itself is not immaculate, pitches in front of the house looked well manicured but the paddock less so. Could do with the grass being a little shorter and the water and chemical waste points could be better signposted. EHU at 10amp was more than sufficient but if parked on end pitches, you would need the longest cable which we did have. You will also need levelling blocks due to the lie of the pitches. Toilet is available but location is not obvious from paddock. We will visit again because you can not get better value for money. True darkness at night, little road noise and yet not remote from amenities in neighbouring villages and the City of Lancaster.
