We spent 4 nights on this site and had an immediate warm welcome from the owner . She showed us our pitch high on a sloping paddock .The pitches certainly need levelling blocks and our electric cable was to within its last inch of reach from the bollard She did say she could lend us an extension if needed (with only 10 amps available, not a good idea I think) It was a decent distance from the toilet behind the house, but it was always clean with new towel daily. The grass was kept a touch long for my liking as when wet it meant your footwear got very wet. Fortunately we keep wellies in the 'van and used those. Good tv and phone signals were had and good views over fields were nice. We noticed another CL with 5 pitches were lower and behind the house which would have made trips to the toilet and water tap much shorter. perhaps because we had a fair amount of rain recently it might have been too wet to be used. She didn't say and I didn't ask. The route to the site given in the site directory from the motorway involves one and a half miles of vey narrow busy road used by artic lorries etc, negotiating tight stretches and two narrow severe hump-back canal bridges. We found a better route wihich we would have used had we known before getting there. The site is only lit at night with 'fairy lights' so you will need a torch to find your way to toilet and water tap. We enjoyed our stay and would go again - using the longer but wider route mentioned above. There are plenty of places to visit so give it a go.
