we have just returned home after a week here - its a new cl site but its got all we needed , the usual elsan and water etc and a nice flat level pitch - some one has mentioned traffic noise but we didn't find it intrusive at all , theres a canal at the side of the site and a marina just a short stroll away plus a restaurant and pub just up the road we cant comment on them because we didn't use them but I understand they are quite good - a warm welcome from martin and gill was a bonus as some sites do seem to just leave you to it they did everything they could to ensure our stay was a happy one, also have to mention their neighbour stuart and his wife whos name I sadly forgot sorry but they were very nice people who gave some very good information on whats around the area [ and a couple of his home grown courgettes for us to cook were very nice thank you ] its about 4 miles into Southport so very handy and Ormskirk has some good shops plus super markets for groceries etc if your thinking of going to the Southport area then I suggest you give this place a try its well worth a visit and im sure you will enjoy your stay - we will definitely be back
