Getting to the site is easy along A roads. Staddon Lane is wide to help negotiate the brick pillars at the entrance, no problem for our 7m motorhome. It was our first stay at Shorston Lakes with new owners Kizzy & Brett I have to say they were the most friendliest CL owners we have met. With a lovely welcome from Kizzy and the dogs, and a mention that we were their first visitors, as they had moved in 3 weeks ago. They have lots of plans for their new venture. The pitches are large enough for our 7 meter motorhome levelling blocks needed on pitch 1. Water point within easy reach. Views and sunsets from the pitches are lovely and look towards Holsworthy. We had our own designated toilet and shower. Great for peace of mind/ covid times. There are 3 lakes with great fishing I havent used a carp rod since I was eighteen and Brett was on hand every day with helpful advice and tips. He even helped with the net on the first catch! I caught into double figures every day and my largest fish of 6kg, from the bottom lake. Beautiful walk down past the lakes to the stream, lovely and peaceful, also great for the wildlife.
