Ease of arrival/welcome

Charming site.

On arrival, friendly welcome from Mrs Odell and doggies, Pip, Pickle, Bess and Fly, As stated, the farm is a working environment and there are some agricultural vehicle movements on the driveway separating the two areas designated for caravans so children would need to be monitored. We used the area containing pitches 3,4 and 5, gently sloping so levelling blocks are required. Each pitch has it's own drinking water supply, a nice touch and standard EHU. The use of the lovely wet room with good shower and toilet were much appreciated. Pitches 1 and 2 are located behind the house and are quite shady. There is a B Road adjacent to the site from which you enter, which was a little noisy at times ( we were there during BH) but became quiet in the evenings and silent at night. All we could hear were the owls hooting. Numerous birds visit the site including pheasants, robins, and thrushes. A small shop at the top of the road sold essentials, papers, milk eggs etc, and overall this was a great base site for visiting the surrounding area with its delightful villages and seaside to boot. Our Border collie made friends with the Mr Odell's working dogs and we were allowed to run him in the pasture in the next door field for exercise if needed.
