Beautiful, clean, quiet and well maintained CL with stunning views. Location is perfect for exploring Derbyshire and the owners couldn't be more welcoming or helpful - Thank You!! Absolutely everything you need and beautifully maintained. Pitches slope, but not a problem as plenty of blocks readily available. Stayed 5 nights but wish it had been longer - will definitely return.
A Hidden Gem
If you're looking for complete tranquillity in the most beautiful rural setting then look no further.
The site is tucked away in a peaceful, elevated position with stunning views, yet is just minutes from the main road, for easy access to Bakewell, Buxton, Ashbourne, etc. Monyash is a very pretty village about a mile away with a lovely pub. The Tissington Trail for cycling or walking to Ashbourne (13 miles) is just down the road and is well worth doing.
Jo and family are so friendly and welcoming, with plenty of local knowledge to share.
Highly recommended!
Lovely CL
This was our third visit to this CL and already have our fourth booked in. This site is a rare gem, adult only, dog friendly, great owners, well located and has lovely views of the local countryside. The pitches are spacious and well positioned making sure all units get a great view. A perfect CL.
A perfect hideaway
One of the most well thought out CLs we have stayed at, with the fixtures and fittings artfully blended in to the stunning surroundings. Thoughtful touches, such as the stack of wood blocks, made setting up much easier. The site was gorgeous, tucked away down the long drive and so peaceful. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Although the location is a gorgeous hideaway on the peaks, it was also very convenient for visits to local attractions and towns. There are also some lovely restaurants and pubs in the surrounding area - as well as the picturesque village of Monyash. We can’t recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be visiting again.

Just as good as they get.
A proper CL!
Very well kept field, four well spaced and marked pitches on one side of the field, number five tucked into a corner on the other side. Looked tempting, but a bit wet (soggy April) when we arrived so we stuck to the higher side of the CL. No over booking here. One of the best bin and disposal areas I have seen. Warm welcome. It's all good, and, deep joy, it's Adult Only, so no footballs flying about.
We will be returning.
Nice CL.......but those flies...............
As others have said, this is a really nice CL.
Very quiet and good views.
The slopes shouldn't be an issue to an experienced caravanner.
Dog walking was something we didn't have a problem with, in general the cows were well away from the site entrance and it was ok to walk down the access lane.
If the cows were hanging about around the site gate i just waited a few moments for them to clear off.
My only gripe, and this isn't the owners fault, was the flies !
There were loads of them and if they got into the van they did leave a mess on the surfaces and windows.
Anything in the awning too had to be wiped down regularly.
When i got home it took quite a while to wash all the "fly poo" off the car and van.
This would probably be my reason for not going back.
what a wonderful find
we spent a week at this lovely site and could not find a fault with it. Yes it slopes but there a plenty of blocks available if required. Surely CL users have no problems with cattle grids and the like - that is part of the attraction!
Jo and Tom could not have been more helpful and welcoming, the pitches are set out so that each one has a view across the landscape .The grass is well maintained and a mower with a grass box is used so you don't have to deal with cuttings on your caravan floor! A lot of work has been put in to this site by its young owners who deserve to succeed. We will definately be back!

Dog walking issue
The site is stated as having a dog walk which it doesn't. You can take them in to the adjacent fields but they have livestock in them. I don't approve of dogs doing there business near the caravans even though most owners pick up. There is an area with long grass which we thought was for dogs but the owner is using it for animal feed so he asked us to keep off it and it's right next to the caravans. The site is very peaceful but the views are obscured by trees. There is 2 cattle grids, the one on entering the CL has quite a ridge so care is needed. Not sure if we would go again because we usually use site with a proper dog walk.
Very Enjoyable Week
Just returned from a weeks stay at this lovely CL. Very tidy and most helpful and welcoming owners. Yes, the site is on a bit of a slope but in the week we were there no one seemed to have any issues or problems with this. I understand what the previous reviewer mentioned about the cows on the track, but it was such a large field you could just pick your direction in which to take your dogs. A great spot for touring the area without too much driving, we had some great walks. Good meals at The Bull at Monyash, and The Royal Oak, just by the Tissington Trail. The only thing we thought was that when the site had the five vans on,the pitches were quite close together. Tom and Jo are a lovely young couple and as this a relatively new CL I think they have done a great job,We will most definitely return. Talking about cost it would have been £33 a night at nearby Casleton CLub site, I know there are facilities and hard standing but seems excessive.
Lovely CL Site
We have just returned from a 5 night stay at High Low Farm.
Lovely well kept site and the owners Tom and Jo could not have been more helpful and friendly.
Lots of walking and things to do nearby, great food and beer at The Bulls Head in the village and also at the Church Inn at Chelmorton.
Derbyshire is full of places to visit and lots of views and little jems to find along the way if that's what your looking for.
The site has a slight slope but was still firm after all the recent rain and there are plenty of chocks in the container if you require them (we didn't).
We will keep this site in our favourites and look forward to staying again.
