It was away our second trip out in our first ever motorhome and we decided to give a CL a try. As we wanted to show our 'Van' off to family who lived in Lincolnshire, we chose Hill Crest Farm because of its location (1 hour journey from them) and had somewhere to have lunch. What a good choice it was too. We stayed for two nights and Mick and Lyndis couldn't have done enough to make our stay a great experience. The facilities are excellent and even though the area had suffered from heavy rain and some roads flooded the field wasn't affected at all. On the Saturday morning we got the bus into Retford and walked back along the Chesterfield Canal. A pleasurable walk which took us just over an hour. When our family members arrived we took them to the White Horse for lunch, which was excellent. On this trip we didn't try Yash the Indian and only popped to Ye Olde Bell for a quick pint but we will definitely give them a try next time. We look forward to a return trip to Hillcrest Farm to check out more of the area.
