brilliant

Just spent 5 nights at this delightful site, this being our 4th visit, we have seen a few changes hard standing is now on 4 of the pitches, which is a bonus to those wishing to stay when the weather is unfavourable, though I should point out when the leaves have fallen from the trees, the road noise from the A12 is a little more pronounced but we have never found this to be a problem. the owner Jaik has always made us welcome and we will return to this site, we find the facilities adquate compared to some sites we have stayed on, but we are old school caravanners and any facilities are a bonus. This site offers a good place to explore the suffork coastal area and beyond.

Summer holiday

On arrival the sun was out and our initial reaction to the site was wonderful. As we had booked by phone we were told which pitch to go on but on arrival, someone else was on it. No one came out to welcome us so we phoned. The owner said he would come right out but in actual fact we were kept waiting a good 5/10 minutes before Jaik appeared. He was extremely apologetic regards pitch 1 being occupied and offered us the grass pitch at the back of the site. We were really wanting a hard standing but proceeded with the grass pitch as it would allow us more room for our awning. Later on Jaik appeared with the information sheet and did answer our questions. The wooden toilet/shower block which also housed the bins, the washing machine and the chemical waste was basic to say the least. The shower was unpleasant with rust and was also chargeable which we decided not to use and used our own in the van. There was another toilet block which had a ladies and gents cubicle and urinals which meant that if you chose to lock the outer door, no-one else could access them, alternatively women could have the pleasure of seeing men standing at the urinals if they chose not to lock the outer door - not the best set up in my opinion. Also they were quite 'smelly'. I feel the site has the basis of being a wonderful little site as there is a lovely dog walk and the entire place is situated amongst beautiful countryside. A little TLC with some good cleaning and trimming of hedges and it would be perfect!

Great site

We stayed for 2 nights in mid August. There are 5 generous pitches, 4 of which are hard standing. On arrival we called the owner Jaik who arrived promptly to welcome us and to give us a comprehensive information sheet about both the site and the surrounding area. This is exactly what is needed at any site. The surroundings are lovely and the facilities are good. There are clean toilets and a shower which was clean and hot if somewhat unusal! There is water and electricity on each pitch making life very easy. Jaik has obviously put a lot of thought and effort into the site and is just as obviously continuing to do so. It's a fantastic location from which to visit the delights of Suffolk. We intend to return again next year.

One of the best!

Excellent well positioned site for visiting Suffolk coast. Easy to locate, well maintained, level, excellent facilities as described by the club details. Four of the five pitches are hardstanding (including road access to these pitches. At time of writing old site pictures don’t show this). Mr Campbell was a very friendly and helpful owner, who makes the effort to make this one the best CLs I have stayed on. Info sheet provided on arrival (pub and shop approx. 1 mile away, pebbly beach 4 miles), clean and accessible toilet emptying point, individual water taps, electrical hook up within easy reach and free Wi-Fi connectivity. Spent over a fortnight here, and never short of somewhere to visit!

An excellent site

This is an excellent site with more facilities than any other Cl we have stayed on. The toilets and shower were super clean and the WiFi was free with a very good connection. The hardstanding was level and water and electricity was available at the pitch. The location is well placed for access to RSPB Minsmere. Mr Campbell was very helpful and welcomed us on arrival. We will definitely be using the CL again.

Good neighbour

Grateful thanks to Jaik, who helped us out at short notice, when there was confusion regarding our booking at a nearby CL, meaning we had nowhere to stay for the night. He could not have been kinder, coming out to ensure we had everything we needed, connecting up an extra long power cable and restarting the router when the wifi wasn't working. Jaik is obviously working hard to improve the CL and he deserves lots of support. We'll definitely be back when we are in the area again.

Prima verblijf!

Margo en George Will, Nederland

Great stay!

With great pleasure we have spent a few days at this CL site. The information from the campsite on the internet is correct: neat site, 4 pitches hard standing, 1 on grass. The toilet building looks somewhat old-fashioned on the outside, but the shower and the toilet are large and well maintained. In addition, there is a washing machine and there is the drain for chemical waste. A second toilet block is located at a distance of 5 meters on a neighboring field. The site is level and easy to reach from the main road. A great location to visit the concerts in Snape Maltings. The information we received on arrival was good: an extensive list of addresses and phone numbers of shops, petrol pumps etc. Margo en George Will, The Netherlands

A very nice site

My wife and I have just had 5 nights at this wonderful CL, Easy to find and access was equally easy. The owner Jaik has/ is busy putting in hardstandings and the one we were on was probably nigh on perfectly flat. Facilities are rustic but adequate and clean. We will definitely return.
