Spacious, quiet site with easy access

Very nice spacious site with (only one) wet room and disabled toilet. 1100 acre farm and you are in the center of it so no road noise and no light polution. There are two different ways to access the site so if UK power networks have blocked the roads there is another way around them. Owners very friendly and helpful. We will be back next year.

Great week

We have just had a great week at this CL. Access is easy to the site from the road. The pitches are at the bottom of a gentle slope . And didn’t require much levelling. We were on grass which was fine and we had lots of room for the awning car and space to sit out and bbq. The toilet has a shower in which was lovely ,hot and clean. There are recycling bins provided next to the toilet. The chemical waste area was kept clean. The location is great for visiting Suttonhoo , Orford, southwold , aldborough and snd thorpeness and dunwich heath. Overall a great site for a relaxing week.

One of the Best

We have just completed, after several years, our second visit to this lovely CL site and having been lucky with wall-to-wall sunshine for two weeks before the record temperatures, it realy was one of our best holidays. The pitches are spacious, the facilities good with an excellent well kept multi use toilet/shower room. Mike and Corrin are very friendly hosts always ready to chat and help if needed and of course not forgetting Tilly, the lovely gentle labrador who visited us each day! Mike was also very kind to allow our daughter, vising from Australia, to joinf us for a week in her tent. Ask Mike about his farms and the amazing bio-diversity he employs on them using straw, wood chippings and solar energy to provide their power and heat. All very interesting. It is a very self-sufficient well managed business. Just sorry we missed the start of the harvesting!! The location is excelent for visiting Southwoild (12m), which is a lovely seaside place. Lowestoff is half an hour north and the very interesting historic NT site at Offord Ness is half an hour south. Then there is Alldeburgh and the Snape Maltings nearby too. Plenty to do. The town of Halesworth(3m) has a Co-op for adequate shopping. It really is a very peaceful site. We would thoroughly recomend it

Lovely spacious and quiet location

Our first time as new members on a CL. Friendly welcome from Mike. Very spacious, had a large area all to ourselves. Although there is just the one combined toilet and shower room, we didn't have to wait at all. Really good shower. Frequent visits from the very friendly lady Labrador. Noisiest thing was a cock pheasant at 5am! Will stay again.

Autumn break October 2020

We stayed at Hill House Farm for several days for a break and what a lovely break it was . The site was a delight, peaceful quiet and away from everything. Although the site is slightly sloping it wasnt a problem and for those worried Mr porter was only too pleased to assist should you get stuck. There is a shower and toilet that was beautifully heated and clean. Unlike some sites we were totally left alone but Mr or Mrs Porter were always about should we have needed them. There are beautiful walks and a lovely local pub that served fab food. We will definately be returning .

Nice stay

This is a very pleasant CL with all the facilities you would expect plus a toilet/shower which looked good - but we used our own facilities. Really good area for cycling - lots of lovely quiet lanes. Just a note that the position details aren't quite correct. Whilst parked on site N52.31349, E1.47280. and grid ref TM367740.

Christmas 2017

Stayed here over Christmas. Site very peaceful with lovely walks, close for Southwold and Aldeburgh. Toilet and shower kept very clean. We were the only caravan on site which was perfect! The owner Mr Porter was very helpful even towing us off the field at the end of our stay which had become quite wet with lots of rain. Would definitely stay here again. Lovely Peaceful Site

This is a lovely peaceful site in the countryside. It is well kept and tidy. It is near to Southwold , Aldeburgh and Thorpeness , which are all worth a visit. We got a warm welcome from the owners. The shower facilities are excellent. The site is ideal for dog walks. We would be very happy to return to this site.

Lovely and Peaceful

We spent a week at this lovely farm site. It is very well kept, spacious, and wonderfully peaceful. Really nice owners who keep a beautiful garden. The site and lane have some interesting trees some of which the owner planted from seed. The coast, RSPB Minsmere and local attractions are easily cycled to along quiet lanes.
