Ease of arrival/welcome

A friendly site with tremendous views across the Waveney Valley.

We were pleased that the new owners kept the site going. This is one we use as a weekend getaway since it is only a couple of hours from home. The road is the only downside since it can be a bit noisy at times. If you want to walk to a pub then yes go towards The Locks and then keep on a further half mile into Geldeston where the Wherry Inn will be a bit quieter but still with an excellent range of food and more importantly beers (Adnams). There are plenty of walks across the meadows and along the River Waveney to Beccles and if you are fortunate to use a bus pass then the bus route to Yarmouth will get you to St Olaves and the Herringfleet Marshes. The bus stop is just along the road towards Bungay just opposite/adjacent to the former council houses. Best shopping is in Beccles where there is a large Tesco's but there is also a medium sized CoOp in Bungay. All in all a lovely site to relax and chill out at with no need to go too far if at all.
