Great CL

Just been away for the weekend at Hillside farm CL fantastic very large field very well kept the grass is cut just like a bowling green and the whole site is flat making setting up the caravan really easy, each pitch has a water tap. Hillside farm is easy to find its about 1.5 miles from the A39 main road, we were pitched in the corner of the field next to the B3289 road we did fear for any road noise but there was no problem as the traffic is light during the day and none really during the night time. Easy to travel from the site we happened to have a day trip to Swanpool beach about 10 miles from the CL close to Falmouth, great weather always helps nice and warm which for our weekend was about 25C. There is a noticeable board with bus information and a couple of plastic boxes with walks in the areas next to the notice board is a washing machine within a small weather proof cover which is a great idea. We will return in the future and say this CL is well worth a visit.

Great C/L

Been coming to this site every year since 2005. Quite and peaceful, grass cut regularly like a club site. Good base for touring the area. Close to National Trust Trellissick and water sports at Low beach. Chain ferry close by to cross with car to Roseland peninsula. Falmouth and Truro not far. Best of all Lester is very welcoming and friendly. Chris Walker

Great site and views - Lester is great help.

First time staying at this site and what a great one it is, Lester is relaxed and ensures you have everything you need, great pitches with some information on site about walks and local area. Grass is cut short and very level ideal for families as plenty of room to play. Will definitely be using this site again.

Brilliant site

We stayed here for 9 nights in June, what a lovely site so much space plus there is the luxury of a washing machine for our use such a lovely idea Lester. We took our bikes, there are so many quiet lanes to cycle.

A great find!

This was our first stay at this CL & it certainly didn’t disappoint! A huge, flat grassy field, immaculately maintained with electric around one side. Plenty of space to park up. Drinking water & black waste water available & as others have said a washing machine too! Lester welcomed us in the evening we arrived & was around every evening & morning to chat to his guests. What a lovely man, a real gentleman! Plenty of walks from the site and the Punchbowl & Ladle pub was within walking distance. (Take the footpath route which you will find on OS maps to avoid walking on the main road). A great find and Lester deserves all the credit that everyone has given! Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic location

What a great site, lovely flat field easy to access with some hard standing pitches if you need them. Washing machine on site £4 a go which was very useful. Useful information on local walks was left for guests to use. Lester the owner was lovely, the field was well maintained as I’m sure he went over it with the tractor almost daily. Site was in a good location to get to various locations, we spent most of our days at different beaches we also visited Tintagel and St Michaels mount. There was a national trust down the road but we never got round to going. Thanks for a great week, we would definitely come back when we visit Cornwall next.

Wow! One of the best!

Well where do we start to review this wonderful site! It is flat, level and perfect for any size outfit. We have a 34ft American motorhome and this is the best site we have ever been to for our needs. Water and electric points are along one side of this massive field. If you have extra electric cables you can choose anywhere in the field to pitch as Lester is very relaxed about your location. The black waste is a large grate at ground level which was perfect to empty off. The grass is well maintained and kept like a bowling green. Plenty of space for children to play, ride bikes and be safe. Access is excellent and we were easily able to get in/out when also towing a large trailer with a motorbike. Lester was a lovely friendly, and accommodating host although not at all intrusive. The added advantage of a 10kg washing machine for £4 per cycle was invaluable to us as we stayed for over 3 weeks. Fabulous walks which Lester has prepared for guests to follow which we did many times. Lots to see and do so much so that we have booked already for next year. Thanks Lester, your site is a credit to you. Greg and Brenda McKenna

Tranquility at its best Thank you Lester and Linda

I can't speak highly enough of this site. Situated a few miles from Truro. You could not wish to meet a more friendly and accommodating couple as Lester and Linda. The site itself offers very spacious pitches overlooking fields. We were able to take advantage of the very many walks around the area, with the magnificent Trelissick gardens about 20 minute walk from the site. A fantastic experience, I thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful, tranquil stay.

Spacious Site

We stayed here for four nights in September. This is a very large spacious site, which is well kept. The grass is kept mown and the clippings collected. There are three hard standing pitches all well spaced from one another and plenty of room for those wanting a grass pitch. There are views over surrounding countryside. Some road noise, but not excessive. There is even a washing machine on site if needed. This CL is on a bus route, but being in a rural area, the timetables aren’t very reliable, so we didn’t use. However, if you want to visit Truro, which in our opinion is one of the nicest cities in the UK, there are Park and Ride sites, not too far away. The National Trust Trelissick Gardens are only a mile and a half away, and worth a visit. Lots of interesting places to visit in the area. We wouldn’t recommend trying to visit Loe Beach in a Motorhome, the lanes are very very narrow. We were lucky that the pitch for our Motorhome had a water tap right behind us, so not sure where other water taps were positioned. Probably being picky, but Wi-Fi access would be good.

Best site in Feock

We have stayed on this site before and sadly couldn’t get in this year, so we went to a site nearby. However we were unhappy there and visited Lawrence and his wife who had a space we could end our holiday on. We were delighted. This is a lovely, easy accessible site in a large field, which is beautifully mown. The sites are now hard standing, but you can butt up to the grass for the awning if desired. The site is very spacious, with recycling point and clearly marked bins, a great toilet disposal area and even a washing machine. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We would thoroughly recommend this site
