Perfect Site

This CL is the perfect site for us. The location and the site itself are ideal for our requirements. The field is beautifully kept, it even has its own bird hide. But best of all are the owners of this site, they could not be more kind and helpful. They are always on hand to impart help and information and they genuinly want everyone staying there to have an enjoyable holiday. I know this is often said, but this really is a gem of a CL Site.

Just what I expect of a C!

Hilltop farm is exactly what I expect from a CL. Level grass pitches, not far from water waste etc. a warm welcome on arrival with advice on how to pitch to make the most of the views/sun etc. Good information hut with lots of reading material. Shop and pub are both within walking distance. We had two good bike rides the first down to Mablethorpe and the second over to Louth. We also had a lovely coastal walk from the site and also went over to the Wolds for a walk from Louth If we come back to this area we would definitely stay here again.

Well thought out CL site

A lovely peaceful CL site, exceptionally well kept and cut grass and even with the occasional high speed flying aircraft from the nearby military base we had a relaxed stay. The owner made us feel very welcome and the simple things like waste disposal all very tidy and efficient. There is a small shed with all local information. Clarity on the electric use was welcome as we have a Volvo diesel hybrid car so were able to charge through the caravan and monitor the units used and pay what was needed at the end of the holiday - which was very fair. Found a fantastic Italian restaurant - Gigi's in the next village with excellent food. We will certainly return to this site.

Excellent

We enjoyed our seven night stay here very much. Patricia was very welcoming and helpful on arrival. The site is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Just a few minutes drive to the coast and within reach of many of Lincolnshire's attractions. Highly recommended.

Good Site

This is a very well run and enjoyable site with friendly owners who have put a great deal of work into their site. We used the site as a base to cycle and we found many routes direct from the site, no need to drive somewhere first.

Well kept and peaceful site.

This is a perfect site if you like space along with peace and quiet. We were on one of the hardstanding pitches in a caravan but with the awning on grass which was perfect for us. We had uninterrupted views across countryside from our pitch.. Very flat for some easy cycling. The pitches are very well spaced apart and the owners were friendly, welcoming and quickly fiilled us in with local area info when we arrived. Would deffo recommend if (like us) you like these small cl type sites.

Perfectly peaceful!

Late arrival in the dark and cold, met by one of the owners who showed me to my pitch and explained where everything was situated and all the information I needed for that night, reinforced by the morning visit which included lots of information about the local area. As a lone traveller it is so nice to have some of the work done for you and this welcome to my home for the next week was excellent. A couple of days in I unfortunately had an issue with a failed leisure battery in the night and being unsure of what to do called the owners. Straight away the gentleman came to my assistance. Disconnected my battery and made sure everything was isolated and safe for the night. The next morning whilst I was preparing to go and buy a battery, the owners gave me some information on where would be best for service in nearby Louth. I really couldn’t ask for anymore. The bonus to this site, apart from the kind and considerate owners is the peace and quiet, the very beautiful marsh harrier who visits regularly, the swans and ducks, the hares and the deer who occasionally gallop passed, countless birds and the occasional fly past from the RAF. Great site!

This was our very first trip in our Motorhome. What a lovely site, beautiful views, lovely walks (walked to Donna Nook to see the seals)! Trish was lovely and very informative and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to book again.

Great place to stay

Spent 4 nights in our motorhome on one of the two good hard standing pitches. This is a peaceful and well kept site with a shop within walking distance. Warm welcome from Trish with helpful information and also a good information hut. We arrived on a Saturday and so were able to walk up to the local fish van for some lovely local dressed crab. Good butchers farm shop about 5 miles away on quiet lanes making for a good (flat) bike ride. We cycled out to Donna Nook reserve for some great close up viewings of the newly born seal pups. Great place for walking and quite bike rides. Would recommend.
