A lovely quiet site

We had a good 2 nights at this lovely little site. It was quiet with very little road noise. It is very well located for access to Plymouth. It is only a 10 minute walk to a good fish and chip shop and garden centre. The owner we met was very friendly and we did enjoy our stay. The only comments we would have would be that exiting the site can be a little challenging with a caravan as it is a sharpish right turn onto a narrow road before joining the main road. We were glad ours was only a small caravan and we did negotiate it safely. We are fairly new to towing and experienced towers will probably find it easier. The pitches were a little smaller than we have experienced before and fitting 5 vans does seem a bit of a squeeze on the field. After setting up we were not certain that we had taken a pitch belonging to a motorcaravan which had gone out and not left any evidence apart from an electric cable which we didn't spot until we had pitched and spoken to the owner. After going out, we came back to a fairly closely parked motorcaravan using the same cable in a space which did not seem to be an allocated pitch! It may be handy for the owners to confirm which pitch number should be used or put reserved signs to avoid any confusion in future. We did enjoy the stay and will hopefully be back.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit in the main. Regards to the pitches I would like to say that each pitch is clearly marked with a large number respective to the pitch number. We tell all members at time of booking to 'centre up' to any available  vacant post when they arrive. We cannot monitor every comings and goings of each member during their stay so have to rely upon people using common sense. Most motor home members leave a sign saying 'pitch taken' or they leave either ramps or their electric cable as did the member you are referring to. It is unfortunate that you did not see the cable before you set up. It is not up to the CL owner to place signs on behalf of motor home members when they go out. As I said common sense must be used.
