A Gem in the Peak District

Stayed here for our first week with our grandchildren in mid August. Access to site is good and whilst sloping there are plenty of levelling blocks and it was easy to level the van. The one way system round Ashbourne is fine so don't be put off although the hill out on the A515 is a bit steep but again should not give problems for a well balanced unit. Plenty of walks direct from the site but if visiting the Stepping Stones at Dovedale or the village at Tissington try to avoid the weekends since can be very busy. Ample choice of shops in Ashbourne also Buxton and Bakewell are driveable if needs be. The road to the site from the A515 was a bit busier than expected but this is one of the routes down to the Dovedale Stepping Stones hence the 4stars for peace and tranquility otherwise it would have been 5stars all round. Graham and Gina made us feel most welcome throughout our stay and yes we do recommend it and yes we will be returning. As stated it's A Gem in The Peak District.
