Ease of arrival/welcome

Tranquil in the aftermath of Storm Gareth

We arrived at the site shortly after Storm Gareth with strong winds and rain a feature of our stay. Our welcome was good and we were quickly shown to the field and advised where not to pitch. The field was quite wet in places but that was unsurprising given the amount of rain we had had the previous week. Access in and out of the site was straightforward even with our twin axle 26' caravan plus towcar. The facilities are excellent although if there were 5 'vans with 4 people in each they would be stretched. The field is well drained and level but inclined to be wet in the corners after significant rainfall. We had no problem moving the 'van to leave with a Landrover Discovery but our neighbour had to be towed out. A lovely site, nice walks along the canal to Middlewich or Sandbach, enough cycling in the area to keep you going for a few days and several National Trust properties within easy reach. Definitely a working farm, cows make a noise!
