Four days at this amazing site

It was our first time at this campsite. As we arrived your name is by the pitch number which is on the board by the gate so you can pitch up straight away without waiting for a staff member. There was no canes complicating our pitch like some of the reviews just a pitch number. Pitches are lovely and flat. Land owner was very attentive and was making sure that we was very happy all the time. He allowed us to walk our dog around his fruit farm. Definitely go again thank you very much for an enjoyable holiday.

Second visit, hope to return next year

This is a lovely site. Very welcoming owners. Easy access. We love the walk around the fruit farm. Very handy for visiting Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Nearby Ross on Wye has a nice walk along the river. The pitches are well spaced out. Would recommend.

Excellent Small site

Just returned home from a week at Hollymount CL site, first class is all I can say. Only a small site with only 5 caravans on the lower field where we were placed. Immaculate site and so very quiet, situated centrally for visits to so many places such as Abergavenny and Monmouth. Owner Andrew extremely helpful, even provided a map of his farm so we could enjoy walking our dog safely. Would recommend to anybody and already planning a return visit next year.

Immaculate site, lovely setting

We had a three night stay here before moving on to South Wales but would happily of stayed longer. Lovely peaceful orchard setting and the owner Andrew certainly takes pride in his CL. Spacious pitches, black bags provided for rubbish. Good access from the road and perfect location for exploring the area. We will definitely return.

Lovely little site

We stopped at Hollymount originally for three nights on our way to South Wales. Lovely little field, peaceful with some great walks around. Some were shaded nicely as it was extremely hot and not great for the fur babies. Andrew the site owner was friendly and welcoming of the dogs. Not too restrictive as ours are very well behaved, which we appreciate. Site is easily accessible from a main road and not far from Ross on Wye. Plenty of space for your pitch too. We had a problem with our car which meant we needed an extra night which was sorted easily. We had to move pitches to the hard standing but that was fine and we had the area all to ourselves. Andrew didn’t charge us the extra night which was very kind. It’s a shame it was so hot as we would of loved to explore more as I feel there is a lot to see around the area. We would return, thank you.

Confusing

We arrived at the site and were well impressed. On the board we were allocated 3. So we turned in the caravan club cl site. Then the confusion started . L shaped parking first side 2 caravan , other side 1 caravan in what we thought was 4, we saw 3 but it was so close , then we spotted 3 canes in a teepee and thought that was where he wanted us to park. We carefully parked in position and set up, We were just about finished, water filled awning up tables and chairs out, crockery and food stored in cupboard, phew 2.5 hours later and it just started to rain. When along comes the owner, I swear steam was coming out of his ears. You can't park there !! You have to move it to there , 8 feet over , and close to the next unit. I said we can't move it there its taken us 2.5 hours to set up. We parkedwherethecanes were. He replied yes they mean you can't park there its spoiling my grass. What !! You have to move,I replied I'm not moving there. He said you have to move . I replied right we are going home, I'm not pakingup and taking awning down to move 8 feet, which is also to close to that unit. He walked away. We started to pack away, 13 nights holiday ruined. He came back and said ok stop, but you are spoiling my grass. He also had a go at the unit thatparked next to us. They were also confused. Next mornig he approached us, we thought to apologise, Oh no you've caused me a lot of problems having to move people around. ,, he seemed to argue with every one who turned up. All to save his grass. . A motor home also was told to move, no motorbikes allowed on his grass We did later realise we were in the wrong field, we should of been the top of the hill on farm site. , we booked a CL site and expected to be on a CL site not farm site. . The grass is lovely if he wants to keep it like that perhaps he should stop caravans parking on it. Lovely dog walks. A big information she's, with no information. WiFi was excellent.. We won't be returning and anyone arriving please do not set up until you ring the owner !!!

Peaceful Small Site

We needed a last minute site near to relatives who live about a mile away, this fitted the bill perfectly. We were slightly confused when we arrived and saw that Motorhomes were not allowed on the beautiful orchard site but the farm site at the top of the hill was perfectly adequate for a two night stay and it did have lovely views. We were met on the lane by Andrew later when we were out walking and he gave us maps and info. It was good that we could walk all over the orchards and wildlife meadows. A very enjoyable short stay would certainly use again.

Views over Ross-on-Wye

What a great CL, very welcoming hosts and if you are lucky enough to be allocated or have the the choice of a pitch on the upper field, you are rewarded with beautiful view over Ross-on-Wye and beyond. Very easy access off the A40 and only 2 miles from Ross. Will definitely be going back

Excellent site

This was our first stay at a CL and we were really impressed. Good electrical connection, and scenery to make you think you were in France. Owner very helpful, will definitely return. If you can't be bothered to cook, then treat yourself at Glewstone Court, just a few minutes walk away to complete the experience.

August Holiday.

We stayed on this site as Two families for two weeks in August. We had a very warm welcome from Andrew. We were provided with a map of the farm so that we could walk our dogs and the two grandchildren could ride their bikes safely around the beautiful orchards. We were provided with black sacks for all of our rubbish, and more sacks were readily available. The site is kept immaculate, and very peaceful. We were also fortunate enough to meet Andrews wife Heather, another very warm welcome from her, and lots of time chatting to them both. My Husband enjoyed an afternoon fishing on the lake and caught a very nice carp. None of us wanted to leave, but unfortunately the boys had to return for school. We came as visitors but feel we left as friends, we will definitely be returning. Thank you Andrew and Heather, and of course Lilly the dog. From Linda, Brad, Vanessa, Chris, Isaac and Aston. Our dogs Winnie and Amber xxx ps. We've only given five stars, because we couldn't give more.
