Wonderfully peaceful site

We've just spent 7 nights on this wonderfully peaceful site. We received a warm welcome from Maureen and were impressed with the cleanliness and tidiness of the site and its facilities. It was very peaceful and we loved the fact we could walk along the waterway next to the site. The view from our caravan of the big skies was beautiful, and we enjoyed watching three glorious sunsets. If was also only a short drive away from walks along the Wash and from Spalding and Wisbech.

Peaceful, well-kept site - perfect!

Had a 10 night stay here recently - couldn't fault it! Was tranquil and peaceful, with excellent on-site facilities. Provisions for complying with Covid-19 are in place and well managed. Maureen and David were very friendly hosts - providing support and advice when required.

TOTAL PEACE AND TRANQUILITY

WE EVENTUALLY FOUND THIS LOVELY SITE AFTER TRAWLING PAGES AND PAGES OF CL SITES. THE ATTRACTION WAS IT HAD EVERYTHING THAT MET OUR SEARCH CRITERIA. PEACEFUL SURROUNDINGS( AND IT WAS TOTALLY PEACEFUL AS WE WERE THE ONLY VAN ON SITE FOR ALL OF OUR 10 NIGHT STAY!) USE OF TOILET/SHOWER AND ADULT ONLY. MAUREEN THE OWNER WAS REALLY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING, SHE JUST LET US GET ON SETTING UP ON OUR ARRIVAL DAY AND CAME AROUND NEXT DAY FOR A CHAT. THERE WERE FRESH EGGS AVAILABLE ONLY £1 FOR HALF A DOZEN LOVELY. FOR THE TIME OF YEAR THE WEATHER WAS PASSABLE.PLENTY OF PLACES TO VISIT NEAR OR FURTHER AFIELD. WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY IT WAS TOTALLY PEACEFUL AND RELAXING WE WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THIS LOVELY LITTLE CL SITE,ALTHOUGH NOT ENTIRELY SURE IF ONE TOILET/SHOWER WOULD SUFFICE IF SITE WAS AT FULL CAPACITY? ALL IN ALL A LITTLE GEM!!!

5 Star Site

This is a lovely site, very peaceful, in a wonderful location and with top class facilities. The shower and toilet is kept immaculately clean. The pitches are large with a pleasant grassed area in front. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Farm animals in field next to the pitches, but beware of the geese- no so friendly! Sutton St James is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute drive with a decent pub, butchers and post office/ shop. Further afield there is plenty to see, Sandringham, Kings Lynn and Lincoln for instance. The South Holland Drain that runs along the site is picturesque and no doubt a pull for anglers. I would highly recommend this site

Perfect for visiting the area.

We've just had 8 days at this CL and had the most wonderful stay. The site is kept immaculate. The facilities are excellent considering it's not a Club Site. Maureen, the owner, was brilliant and so knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly be returning.

Peace and quiet

We have just had 10 days at this CL,what a brilliant place with all services on site. We were met by the owners daughter Chelsea who made sure we were settled in and had no problems, subsequently we met Maureen the owner who is a lovely person . The surrounding area in open countryside,is ideal for walks and cycling. Visiting the towns of Kings Lynn, Sandringham, Boston to name but a few, are well within reach from this site. All in all it is thoroughly recommended that you visit the site you won,t be dissapointed.

Top Quality CL

This CL in rural Lincolnshire is a first class and fully equipped site with excellent security via a key pad operated barrier. Each of the well drained and flat hard standing pitches are fully serviced, with drinking water, 16amp electric and grey waste disposal point. TV reception and mobile phone signals are very good and there is the added bonus of an immaculate unisex toilet and shower cabin. Free wi-fi is also available. The owners are very accommodating and are keen to ensure that all visitors have a memorable stay with them. If there is a down side it is only that in my opinion a car or other form of transport is essential as the site is quite remote. It is however central for visits to Boston, Spalding and Kings Lynn where there are many places of interest. We visited the site in mid June, found it to be well worth a visit and would recommend it.

Tranquility at its best.

We stopped at this cl for 10 days, unfortunately the area suffered the worst rain fall for quite a long time, but the sites hard standings were perfect and no water in the awning at all. The pitches are flat and very spacious, our double axle caravan and awning fitted on the pitch without any trouble, the service pitch facilities are first rate, the shower and toilet block are excellent, clean and well looked after as was the rest of the site. It is quite apparent David and Maureen care for and look after the site with a passion, nothing is left to chance. The peace of the site was only disturb by the sound of birds and sheep in the surrounding fields. There are nice flat roads to go for a walk along and also the fens to walk along. There are plenty of nice and interesting places to go to in the area. We met Chester, David and Maureen's chocolate Labrador who is a character in his own right and extremely friendly. For us the whole 10 days here were very enjoyable and we will go back there, as there is nothing not to like. The strawberries they sell are nice and tasty also. Thankyou David & Maureen for a pleasant stay.

Peaceful and immaculately kept certified location near Sutton St James

We stayed here for 6 nights in June and it was a lovely site with all the facilities you need. We were in our motorhome with cycles and our scooter. Its a great location from which to explore the area particularly on a bike, where with a good map you can pick your way via safe and quiet small roads to various places of interest and towns nearby. It’s flat as you might expect so cycling is easy. The scooter or a car gives you lot’s of options to go further afield to the bigger towns and the coast along the Wash which is quite spectacular for either walking or cycling along the dyke. There is a pub in Sutton St James which is quite good for pub type meals and is about a 30 minute walk or 5 minute cycle ride from the site. Maureen gave us other options for better dining nearby but you would need transport or a taxi if you wanted a drink. Crowland ( with the Abbey and town) , Spalding & Kings Lyn are all with a visit, Wisbech not so much! The bird life was also very interesting. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend the site for a tranquil and friendly stay. Thanks to the owners!
