Don’t waste your money. We have just got home from here. I really wish I would have gone and looked at the toilet and shower block before I paid. If I would have seen it I would have ran. I don’t think it has been cleaned for months. The shower was £1 for 6 minutes which we don’t mind paining but I do mind when I have a shower and I feel I need another shower to get clean from using the shower. There is a busy road right next to where you pitch up which is used all night. Pub is only open for food from 4pm till 8pm and you couldn’t just go in for a drink. One thing I have learnt is to read reviews before booking. Everyone that was there was not happy. I do think they need reviewing from the caravan and motorhome club.
Totally Disgusting facilities
Just had a week staying here. The caravan club need to visit this place, the toilet and shower facilities are the worst I have ever seen. Filthy, no toilet paper, bins not emptied all week, broken tiles falling off the wall. Never see the owners unless you go into pub, which is also dirty and out of order toilet. Their website is so out of date as nothing advertised is actually there. Pub not open through the week. As a member I request the club do an inspection ASAP so other members don't book this site and be disappointed.
VERY PLEASED WITH HONEYPOT INN
We arrived and hooked up -
Its obvious where the pitches are so no need for guidance
as it couldn't have been easier.
Field very pleasant and mown to perfection
Evenings extremely peaceful
Owner friendly and helpful not over familiar - just the right balance
we are fairly reserved and private so that was a major plus for us
Due to my husbands health we didn't use the pub on site due to Covid which was a shame as
they would be very accommodating regarding our Vegan diet
We would definitely return if travelling in the area again
Poor communication/ dirty facilities
Was booked for a 5 day stay. Once booking confirmed never heard back from them. Emails and phone calls ignored.
Pulled up anyway onto the site. Refuse lorry parked in car park. Rang number to ask for pitch location. No reply.
Sat in car park for half an hour, tried phone number again, y
Knocked on doors, no reply. Had a look at the so called facilities, absolutely disgusting.
Drove off site and found a lovely non cm site lebberston touring park, absolute gem of a find ,
As CLs go the site was ok
Poor welcome had to ring to confirm arrive an pitch for week, no clear instructionsprovidedforpaying either. Lovely site with excellent views but disappointed pitch was next to the busy road. Ideally situated for all attractions we wanted to visit. On the last night we decided to eat in the pub and pay site fee, very poor service in the pub. 45 minutes for ordering and receiving drinks to the table, food poor lacked flavour and arrived to table with no cutlery or condiments. Never asked to pay site fees so offered to include when paying bill. Would recommend site but NOT pub
Would not recommend- facilities are disgusting
Stayed at this site from 31/08/20-05/09/20. It took a while to receive a reply to my initial email to book and there were quite a lot of people coming and going on-site. I thought CLs were limited to 5 at a time?!?
Anyway, no one welcomed me at all or checked if everything was ok. The only time anyone spoke to me was to ask what time I was leaving as I was supposed to have been off the site by 12 noon (when I had booked I was told 2pm should be fine to leave by).
The facilities were disgusting all week. Emailed the owners to let them know the facilities needed cleaning and didn’t get a reply. I cleaned the toilet and shower 3 times during the 5 nights I was booked in and ended up just using my own caravan facilities. Website says £15 a night, I was quoted £17, plus you have to pay for the shower and then when I came to pay they tried to charge me even more than £17 a night.
Awful value for money- won’t be staying here again. The hygiene standards have a lot to be desired! I paid the same price each night for a beautiful site just north of York with amazing, clean facilities use of which was included in the price and cleaned regularly as well as very on top of covid cleaning. This site didn’t come anywhere near close to being as good. Disappointed!
Reci visit for use on our next visit to the area
We liked the look of this site on line but were concerned about some of the reviews so decided to stay elseware this time but do a reci for next time.
Sadly the bad points on the previous reviews have not been rectified, there were overflowing bins by the gate that looked as if they had been like that for days. The gate was damaged and rotting and looked as if it wouldn't close even if someone wanted to. The grass was only mowed in a small area on each pitch with the rest of the site uncut making the site look untidy and meaning you would need wellies if it rains. The long grass was surprising as outside the pub was a ride on mower that was used to keep the grass in front of the pub cut. The view across the fields was good but 3 of the pitches were on the road side so as close to the traffic as possible, I would have wanted to be as far away from the road as I could. Overall the site looked as if they couldn't care anymore but would take the money anyway.
Needless to say I will not be staying on this site and would recommend a visit by the Club inspector.
First Impressions
Arrived at the Honey pot inn cl site for the first time having read the reviews. Went to book in and pay for our stay and was a bit confused about the price thought it was £15 per night turned out to be £18 per night but it says in the caravan and motorhome site that its pitch + occupants for £15 we was directed to the facilities behind the pub for grey waste and Elsan point fresh water actually on the field/site. We went and set up the caravan were we found a pitch available and settled in we found it to be quite noisy with the road close but it went quieter towards dusk. We also feel that there should be more signage for the cl site there was a sign on the gate to the field but the gate was open all the time hence there was no security as such. the gate was left open all the 6 days we was there. There was people coming and driving in and out looking all the time we were there it could have been anyone and our possession's were not protected. No one came round and asked us if everything was ok at any point during our stay. Speaking to others who was staying at the same time as us also said they thought it was £15 per night and was surprised to be charged £18 instead. The views were beautiful but the facilities leave a lot to be desired the toilets and showers to me needed a good clean I felt I needed to clean them properly they didn't look like anyone had done anything to them for quite a while. All in all we wouldn't stay at this cl site again unless quite a lot was done to bring this site up to scratch.
Does what it says on the tin.
We (that's she who must be obeyed and our two mini dax and myself) visited the site on Friday 10th Aug for two nights. We were warmly welcomed and given a reasonable set of verbal instructions regarding parking and facilities. We never used the showers as we had one in the MH and access to water so I cant really comment on them.
The hospitality is fantastic and they really cant do enough for you, the pub has an excellent range of beers and lager, if you eat you certainly wont feel hungry afterwards the portions are massive.
The pub is pet friendly and when it was quiet on the Friday we went across for a quick pint and a look at the menu. It was very busy from lunch time onwards on the Saturday and rather than sit in the pub we decided to enjoy the sunshine next to the MH. The staff let use take our plastic jug and fill it up with amber nectar and even plated up to meals to be collected and eaten in the evening sunshine.
The little church in Sneeton is worth a visit as are the cliffs if you fancy a walk along the coast. I did note that some complained about the noise of the road, we never really heard it, and it certainly didn't disturb our sleep
All in all a very relaxing weekend. Thank you all at the Honey Pot Inn.

Lovely CL but could be better
We recently spent four days at this CL and found it to be fine. The food in the pub is lovely home cooking and big portions if you like Liver with Onions then you wont beat it,I'm biased because I love it. As other people have said the toilets/showers let it down only because they need a little bit of TLC and attention to detail. (Regular emptying of paper towels etc from bins) The showers are good at £1 for six minutes found this was plenty of time. Would like to see better signage for the CL facilities people were asking us where things were.
Theres no doubt this is a family affair we saw Connor cutting the grass and other family members busy in the pub.
The adjacent road can get busy at times but its generally only during daylight hours.
This is a lovely CL but with a little bit of TLC could be a great CL.
