Just Excellent

Great welcome, great views, great facilities, great pub and a great base to explore the surrounding area. Will be back next year.

Excellent site

The site is well maintained, flat, spacious and with great views. Some noise from the adjacent road and pub car park, but nothing too serious. Good morning dog walk just across the road and up a lane. Dog friendly beaches close by. The adjacent pub (no dogs allowed) has a very wide food selection (perhaps too wide?), one well-kept cask beer and a limited range of wine. Friendly owners.

Great place and an understanding owner

Our first visit, and our first visit on a CL. It ticked all the boxes we look for in a caravan site. We had a fab holiday that didn't start as planned ( the clutch went on the car meaning we arrived two days later than planned), Connor was extremely understanding and even offered us a couple of extra nights to make up for the ones we'd missed. A great site, easy to find and access. Generous pitches and great space for the girls to play. A fab base to visit  places like Whitby and Filey. The pub is a great place to eat. (Loved the ribs and steak). We're hopeing to go again in October.

Another wonderful holiday

This is the 4th time we've returned to this site and if it were possible it just gets better. This time we took our daughter, son in law and 2 grandchildren and they loved it too. As in the past the wonderful Connor was on hand to be of any help he can. I cannot recommend this site enough its beautiful, the facilities are immaculate and great to use and I believe that Connor has installed a washing machine now which will be a god send for families. If you want the best this site is for you!

Smashing Hideaway

We have just returned from a stay which wasn't booked but we were welcomed by Connor. He has got the camping field lovely. Unfortunately we didn't get to sample any food as the pub closed really early so be warned. The front of the pub could do with a tidy up as its not as pretty as the camping field. Lovely area.

One of the best

We stayed here for a couple of midweek nights in may the site is fantastic and a credit yo young Connor. The views across the wolds are amazing. Filey is just a short drive away and Bempton rspb is 10 mins up the road. Access to the site is through pubs carpark with plenty of room to get in. The pubs food was also excellent and the sites facilities were spot on especially as it's a cl showers are a bonus  (£1 charge) which I'm sure some will moan about!!!! It is adjacent to a busy road so obviously there is some traffic noise but this didn't bother us at all. Connor is a fantastic host and will do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible he is still at school and is making a go of something with the help of his family so all credit to this young entrepreneur I hope this is successful venture for him. Can't wait to go back.

First Class Service

We have stayed here twice now and will certainly be back. I think many of the positives about this site have been covered in the reviews so far and I would echo those especially about the welcome, the facilities and the pub and its excellent food. I would however like to add that Connor who runs the site is a big factor in its appeal. We stayed over Easter and the storm over the Bank Holiday weekend wrecked our awning and with two small children we elected to leave on the Saturday despite being booked for 10 days. Being fairly new to caravanning and not wanting to risk towing in the exceptionally high winds we decided to leave our caravan there and come back the following weekend. Not only was this acceptable but we received a very generous refund which was neither expected or obligatory. In addition to this Connor also provided us with a witness statement to aid our insurance claim as we had no photographic evidence - not sure yet how the claim will pan out but the help was there regardless. Whenever you call if Connor isn't available you can leave messages and calls are always returned and on leaving the sit he is always there to make sure there were no issues and see you off. I don't usually write reviews but this kind service is unfortunately becoming more of a rarity these days so I felt compelled. Give this site a go - you won't be disappointed.

Easter Stay

Well we arrived on Good Friday and we're greeted by Connor and he showed us to our pitch and all the site things such as toilet and shower, waste water and chemical disposal point. The sun was shining and all 4 of our caravans were set up and time to chill with a few beers. Then through the night the winds came which battered the site hard 1 of our awnings was flattened and had to be taken down and I went out and purchased 2 more storm straps to hold ours down. The winds never eased off until Sunday night when the heavy rain then came all night and up to lunchtime on Easter Monday so it was really bad packing up in the rain. As we were leaving we saw Connor and he said he'd never seen so much bad weather in all the years they had owned the site. To be honest it was the weather that spoilt the weekend and nothing to do with the site at all. The pub is nice and the meals are really good with plenty to choose from and a nice selection of beers served too. It's in a good location to visit Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington. My only suggestion would be to plant a hedgerow on the field side of the site to make it more sheltered other than that it's a nice site.

Perfect break away from it all

We visited the Honey Pot Inn as good friends recommended it and we were not dissapointed. Connor was great, looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed. The site has fantastic views, good dog walks, the shower block is clean and bright and very nicely finished with nautical touches. You are well situated for a number of beaches and towns. The Pub is also fantastic, as is the food and beer, I struggled to eat it all as the portions were that big, although I had to try and do starter, main and pudding! to top it all the cost was low so win win. We will most certainly be going back as everyone we met was helpful and we just loved it.
