We liked the look of this site on line but were concerned about some of the reviews so decided to stay elseware this time but do a reci for next time. Sadly the bad points on the previous reviews have not been rectified, there were overflowing bins by the gate that looked as if they had been like that for days. The gate was damaged and rotting and looked as if it wouldn't close even if someone wanted to. The grass was only mowed in a small area on each pitch with the rest of the site uncut making the site look untidy and meaning you would need wellies if it rains. The long grass was surprising as outside the pub was a ride on mower that was used to keep the grass in front of the pub cut. The view across the fields was good but 3 of the pitches were on the road side so as close to the traffic as possible, I would have wanted to be as far away from the road as I could. Overall the site looked as if they couldn't care anymore but would take the money anyway. Needless to say I will not be staying on this site and would recommend a visit by the Club inspector.
