Well maintained site

Stopped for 4 nights in May. The owner was very welcoming and kept the site in a very good condition. Very good value, ehu is rated at 16 amps and the toilet although in a shed is tidy. Well located for the market town of Beverley and the East Yorkshire coastline. Hornsea is a little seaside resort and is worth visiting too. Visited a pub in Brandesburton 2 miles down the road - food very good value and tasty.

A peaceful weekend

Conveniently located for both the seaside town of Hornsea and the historic town of Beverley (about 5 miles in each direction), this was my first stay at a CL - I hope they are all like this! I got a little lost on the way there (it is easy to miss the turning), but a quick call got me back on track. Leven seems a nice village, and the village shop is a short walk from the site. There is even a takeaway opposite the shop if you are feeling lazy, and the local pub serves food, too. The site overlooks a farmer's field (owned by the same family) on which you can spot various birdlife, including the local owls. The onsite facilities are quite sweet - what appears to be a garden shed is actually a bathroom - and there are recycling bins in addition to the usual fresh water and grey water points. Owner Clive is loquacious and full of local knowledge. He lives nearby and cycles over daily to check everything is OK. Definitely recommended!

A great CL

I have visited this site on a number of occasions, the proprietor is a very pleasant and friendly man. It is a great base for touring places of interest, everything you need is only a short journey away.

Tried to keep it a secret !

I thought about not adding this review ....as I want to be able to book onto this CL again. Its really lovely, the facilities are 'cute' theres a toilet in a garden shed..but it all works and ..its CLEAN! We did not see the owner until Sunday when he brought us a homegrown cucumber and we paid him.........its all laid back. The village has everything you need and the bus goes to Hull, Beverley and Hornsea from outside the church (they take dogs on the bus). All in all .... a lovely site.
