What a Lovely Site & Very Friendly Owners.

We arrived 7th June for 1 week & were met & shown onto the field, very neatly kept, tidy & clean. Regularly mowed, with grass box for collection, so no grass walking in the caravan. Lovely open field walks for the dog, with plenty of doggy bins. Easy walk to the Caen Hill Locks, either along the road & then footpath or via a slightly longer all footpath route. Nearest & easiest supermarket, with free parking, in Calne, about 10 mins drive. The farmer does do logging in the barns adjacent to the site from 8am-3pm, but we didn’t find this a problem. We’ll definitely go back for a return stay to explore the area some more.

Peaceful and quiet site

Stayed for a long weekend and had a fantastic break at Horse Lane Farm. Easy to find on arrival we were greeted and shown to our pitch which was large and spacious. From the site there are many things to do with plenty of good walks and interesting places to visit. There are a couple of local pubs within a mile or so, we visited the The George and Dragon to celebrate the birthday of our friend who was also staying on site, fab seafood but not cheap. Definitely a site we will return to in the future.

Lovely site.

Very clean and well kept site. The grass is kept well mown and picked up. Clean and tidy waste points. Easy to find with good local amenity's and attractions. 10 amp electrics but not a problem if usage is planned.

Perfectly Nice CL

Stayed for 4 nights in early June 21. Easy short road access the site. A few small pot holes but not a problem. It is a working farm. The pitch field is lovely, quite flat and spacious. Easy to setup. The facilities are easy to access and kept tidy. The field itself is well kept too. Lovely little spot next to Rowde with easy access to surrounding locations. Prices are now £15 per night. Well worth it if you need to be in this area. Chris and his wife were friendly and helpful if you needed anything. Be very happy to stay here again.

Lovely site

This is the nearest CL to where we live and we decided to stay here for 10 nights while we had our bathroom replaced. The CL is easy to find, and access is straightforward. We were met by the owners who showed us everything on the site. The waste and grey water disposal are clean and easy to use, there is plenty of space for 5 vans. It is a working farm and has cows in the adjacent fields, but there are plenty of walks around. Although we live locally, in Devizes, our stay here enabled us explore walks we haven't previously done. Altogether a lovely peaceful site with friendly owners.

Lovely site, great location

Just returned from a 4 night stay on this lovely little site. It's very well kept, the emptying points very clean and easy to use. It's in a great location to visit many interesting towns and the locks, 5 minutes away are good for an evening walk. We had to change our booking a couple of times because of lockdown and cut our stay short because some of the local attractions we had intended to visit weren't open but the owners couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant.

Super CL site

A super CL site with lovely spacious pitches allowing privacy and good distancing for all - especially important in these difficult times! The water and waste recycling facilities all very clearly marked out, very tidy and easily manageable. Great location for visiting nearby Devizes with cycle paths along the canal close by. Friendly owners and the CL was easy to find being straight off the main road. For those holidaying with their own facilities you cant really go wrong with this CL. We spent 4 nights here in August 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay :-)

Loved it!

We have just spent 3 nights on this site and loved it. Location is fab especially for us as keen walkers and cyclists. Such a peaceful spot & our first experience as members of the club. With only 5 pitches, it was quiet, spacious and very relaxing. The owners were very friendly and helpful which made our stay particularly enjoyable, thank you.

So peaceful

What a lovely little cl. Easy to find & lovely welcome. Quiet and peaceful countryside surrounded by cows & wildlife. A flat well cut grass field plenty if room with a water tap, grey water & toilet emptying point, recycle bins. Within 10 minute cycle ride to Caen Hill locks and 20 minutes into Devizes.

Lovely tranquil location

We stayed at Horse Lane Farm for our first EVER caravan trip after having bought our caravan in the spring just before lockdown. Chris and his wife couldn’t have been kinder or more patient with us as we tried to establish what on earth we were doing!! The facilities were perfect - recycling point, information board and waste disposal. We were on a beautiful lawned field, with EHU pitches, in the most peaceful of settings. There were cows in the fields surrounding us (which our little boy thought was fabulous) and dog walks straight from the farm. We walked from the site on public footpaths to the local village (Rowde) which has 2 good pubs, the one we went to being child and dog friendly (The Crosskeys). Anyone with children would also enjoy a visit to ‘The Rowdey Cow’ - a nearby dairy farm with ice cream parlour, farm shop, playground etc which was very popular. On reflection, we couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming or beautiful site for our first outing - we will definitely be back!
