Cycling advice

We stayed for just one night on our way home from Cornwall, with the idea of cycling on the Kennet and Avon canal. It was well worth it. The site is a pleasant field, which was fine for our motorhome as the weather has been dry. As it's a farm you will hear the usual farm machinery noises, and the road is fairly busy in the day, but not too noisy. Plenty of lovely bird noises too, and we watched a wagtail escape the attentions of a sparrowhawk. It's not far from the campsite to the canal at Caen Locks (which are very impressive), and the towpath ride towards the east through Devizes was very pleasant. Just be careful on the road outside the campsite at busy times. It is unrestricted then 30mph within a half a mile, when you reach Rowde village. We'll return one day to try the ride towards Trowbridge on the canal.
