Great CL

We have stayed at this CL a number of times, but hadn’t done so for a while as our need to travel to Bristol had changed. This weekend, we went back as we were attending a wedding in our area. We had always enjoyed staying at this CL as the pitches are huge, the view is of a grassy field, and the site is so easy to get to, just off the M4/M5 with excellent roads off the motorway and a good access road to the site. Our only issue we had ever had was the pitches were grass, and we once had trouble pulling our caravan off the pitch due to heavy rainfall. On our return just now, we were delighted to see a gravel track to each pitch and hard standing available at each pitch. You can now choose grass or hard standing. When you arrive, there is a postbox where you pick up your envelope which advises which CL you are staying on, and the cost. The envelope contains an A4 welcome sheet with a site map and all the details you need, including the code to get through the security gate during after hours. We like this system, it’s easy, it means you can pitch quickly and get all the information you need immediately. The security measures with gates makes you feel very secure on this site. We know the owner does like to visit everyone during their stay, we missed him this time, but we were out quite a bit. You pay, by reusing your welcome envelope and posting it into a post it with your site fee. Other welcome changes is the chemical waste facility has been upgraded and the nearby units now includes a caravan shop (where you can buy anything you have forgotten) and is also an Adria dealer.

Excellent access to Bristol

This was an excellent site for visiting our daughter at Bristol. We can never get on the main site in Bristol as we cannot plan ahead very far so this was a fabulous alternative. Other than the noise from the M5 it was a very peaceful site. We only notice the road noise as we live in a very rural area. The access to M5 and M4 could not be better. Very helpful staff. Can accommodate late arrivals very efficiently. Basic facilities to include EHU but certainly adequate. Lovely walks within the farm boundaries and village close by. Lovely individually private pitches divided by hedging. Will be using again. The access to main routes and Bristol far outweighs the road noise.

Wish we were there!

Just spent a lovely 10 days here over Christmas, warm welcome as usual. Super spot for peace and quiet just a few minutes drive from the motorway. Speedy access to Cribbs Causeway and Bristol City Centre, perfect for a spot of sales shopping. Secluded and secure. One of the best on-site dog walks, allowing a half hour run along pathways, and much longer welly walks. Great to have breakfast and watch the sun coming up over the trees that border the field of the title. Hopefully we'll return in 2019.

Perfect bolthole

Lovely peaceful site with secluded pitches. Lovely views, easy set-up, friendly accessible owners and plenty of space to walk the dog. Easy drive into Bristol City Centre, Cribbs Causeway, local restaurants and take-aways. As we live not too far from Lands End we often use it as a stop over on our way up country. Other times it's good to have an easy, economical and dog-friendly 'city break'

A little gem of a site

We stayed here for 3 night to visit Dogfest. The site is easily accessible, 10 minutes off the M5. We received a very warm friendly welcome and had a choice of a few pitches. The pitches are very generous, managing to park our motorhome on the hard standing, leaving plenty of room for the gazebo with ample room around, ideal with 3 dogs. The pitches have a high hedge each side give that extra privacy. A few minutes walk away is a wooded area where there's a circular path to walk round ideal for the dogs. The site is well secure too, leaving you feel safe. Will certainly be revisiting the site again and would definitely recommend it.

Excellent CL

Stayed for 7 nights in Field View last week. Lovely site very quiet and owner very welcoming and visits every evening to see if you are ok with everything. Pitches lovely and private and lovely for sitting in the sun. Would definitely visit again.

Peaceful CL about 30 mins drive from centre of Bristol

Stayed two nights over the Bank Holiday weekend, for the purposes of visiting friends in Bristol and also doing the tourist sites. Easy arrival and free choice of the two pitches available. Very hot weekend, so having peace, generous pitch size and the privacy (as others have mentioned) to sit out into the evening was welcome. When we arrived (under the hot sun) we were quickly alerted to the smell of dog poo and offending 'gifts' on both our pitch and the other empty pitch needed to be swiftly binned. Not really the owner's fault unless one thinks they should always check when a pitch is vacated. We were not troubled by road noise and for our purposes this CL was fine. We would certainly consider staying again, though our poor geography meant we had underestimated the time it would take to drive into the city centre. We strolled round to the other CL on the same site (Wood View), which was fully booked when we tried to book. It seemed a little quieter and perhaps with a more attractive view, certainly a more far-reaching view. Maybe next time!

Easy access from M4/M5

Just a few minutes from motorway junction but no problem with noise. Easy to find and lovely site with large grass/hardstanding pitches which are hedged so very sheltered. Good walks for the dog (and owner). There is an approved workshop on site with very helpful and friendly staff so booked our next service when en route to Devon! Lots to do in the area so will be back. Thank you for a great stay.

Great Easy Accessed Site

Excellent CL, or rather two separate CLs with easy access within a mile or so of the M5 en route to/from the West Country. Very friendly owner who also runs Bristol Caravans from the same site so useful if there's a problem with van that needs sorting. The pitches are huge with hardstanding down the middle and nicely mown lawn either side but what we particularly like is the high hedge surrounding each pitch giving total privacy, something we normally only see abroad. The pitches are so large that if just overnighting, as we were, the car can be left hitched to the van and there's still plenty of room. No toilets of course but EHU included for just £14 p.n. Would certainly recommend and would certainly return for a longer stay with its proximity to Bristol, Bath and much more. The only downside for some may be some road noise with it being so close to the motorway but not a problem for us.

Very Helpful.

We stayed here on our way to Plymouth for the ferry, prior to reaching them we unfortunately hit our motor mover on a high kerb which resulted in a damaged tyre. When we arrived they were so helpful & arranged for a mobile tyre fitter to come out & fit us a new one On our way back we called again for a few days whilst they fitted a new Motor mover. I cannot recommend this site enough, the owners are pleasant & helpful, the site, although there is some road noise is well kept,I would certainly use this site again when we pass through the area. All in all it was 5 star for us.
