Owner was disinterested.

This was a lovely large site with water at EHU. The grass had been cut and the field was dry.We found the owner and paid on arrival but were told NOTHING about the site. We had to tramp round the field to find the emptying point and rubbish was not recycled. We did not know there were toilets! Apparently they are withdrawing from the Caravan and Motorhome Club this year (2019) because having vans is 'incompatible with their wedding business and the CC were demanding more and more'. What a pity as the site is very quiet and spacious.

Peaceful site

Stayed here for 3 nights the end of August. Very peaceful and friendly owners. If I have one criticism it would be the grass was very long and could do with being kept much shorter. Will certainly visit again though

Quiet CL

Quiet CL near a range of local attractions within 25 miles Ther was a wedding shilst we were there but very little noice and nothing that should disturb Just site yourself in a large field with plenty of electric points, and you may need to drop your site fees into the farmhouse. Toilet facilities fine, although you may want to use your own shower.

Peaceful CL

Visited this CL for two nights in April - Friday night we had it to ourselves and the Saturday night just 2 other units. Situated next to a livery yard and a B&B business which also hosts weddings. There was a wedding the Saturday we were there and although you are not bothered by noise you need to be aware that the toilet and shower facilities are a little way from the camping field and are shared with the wedding guests, although they are spotless. Only the ladies shower was serviceable when we were there which did not cause a problem as site was quiet but does need to be rectified. There is some distant road noise but not enough to stop it being a peaceful place. Very convenient for National Trust Stowe Gardens and just down the road from Buckingham town with supermarkets, pubs, takeaways, etc. Payment is by cash only and make sure you take an envelope as if the owner is not on site you need to put it through his letterbox.

Mixed feelings

We visited the site in march. It was wet when we arrived and the grass was long and needed to take the caravan off the car and use the mover to take it up the field Water by each electric point was a good touch but make sure you take a hose connector for the tap The toilets and showers were quite a walk away down farm road. Men's shower was out of use but otherwise clean, toilet paper and soap on hand Our chosen pitch was against the lane which was surprisingly noisy It's in a lovely area with walks straight out of the site and a trip to Buckingham jail museum is a must Not a site that we will return to with so many pretty CLs around but did the job

Invisible owners!

We stayed here for one night in April. The site comprises a huge field, so lots of space, water available at each EHU. The field is level but the grass was very long, so luckily it was dry. We parked at the top end of the field. There was no one else there, apart from a fenced off area in the middle occupied by two very interested horses. The showers and toilets are located in 2 portakabins on the edge of the field, quite a long walk from where we had pitched. They were clean but needed more care and attention. The light in the Ladies shower didn't work and the Gents shower was out of order. There was a random large cardboard box in the corner of the Ladies shower. It is a very peaceful and quiet site, but I feel that a bit more care and attention would raise it from good to great. In the morning we had to play 'hunt the owner'! When I had booked the owner said he would come and see us but didn't. We went down to the main house, where there was a confusing array of doors to knock on. It appears they also have a holiday let business there. The first door I tried was answered by a young man clad only in underpants, who said he knew nothing as he was on holiday! Eventually found the right door, and the owners. Once again, a bit more attention to detail, such as a sign, would have been helpful. Owners would only accept cash payment.

Lovely Site.

very spacious and level site, with nice mown grass, this site was tucked mid way between Brackley and Buckingham, very easy access to the site, water point was at each hook up point, there were toilets and a shower in each toilet that were kept very clean, all in all a very relaxing place to go for complete peace and quite, do hope that we are able to stay at this site again in the future.
