Ease of arrival/welcome

A hidden gem

This is a lovely little farm site. On arrival we were advised by the owner to park where we wanted and so we tucked ourselves in the corner and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Obviously you can hear a low hum from the motorway but it didn't bother us. The sound of birdsong more than compensated. It is a basic site but has everything you need. It was easy to find and plenty of room to get into the farm. The only thing we would say is the site facilities are not well signed, we had been filling our water from a tap which looked like it was over a grey waste pipe which we then saw others emptying their black tanks into, it was not marked as chemical waste. We later found another tap labelled drinking water. They do have their own farm dogs which roam free they are sweet little things who don't bother the campers and mainly stay out the front. We only live 20 miles away so this will be a little place we will sneak off to for quick breaks and country air. We didn't try the village pub but it looks lovely and we will next time. A bargain at £8
