one night stopover

This site was easy to find. The views are lovely - the showers and toilets were immaculate. We thoroughly enjoyed a peaceful night.

Best CL of all

This must be the best CL in Britain. The views are stunning, all the facilities you want, and the friendliest couple in Nathan and Katie. Absolutely wonderful.

Wonderful

We have just returned from a 2 week stay here. It's a lovely site with excellent, clean facilities. We were warmly welcomed, Nathan and Katie could not have been more friendly and helpful. The views from the Meadow are stunning and we had a lovely relaxing holiday.

Lovely site. Felt very welcomed. Katy was particularly helpful and kind to our kids and went 'above and beyond' to make sure they were having a fun time. Showers/toilets etc were 4* (some 4* hotels we've stayed in haven't had such lovely clean and top notch equipment in the bathroom like the ones here). Beautifully maintained site + peaceful and even has a gym!! Just perfect and only 10/15 mins away to go surfing at Bude :)

Fantastic CL

Stayed on this CL from 5th-15th June 2018 and had a great holiday. The new toilets and showers are first class and the views across the golf course are wonderfull. There is so much to see in the surrounding area of North Cornwall and Devon and Bude is a great resort with something for everyone. The owners are very friendly and the CL is a credit to them. Highly recommended. Rob from Wolverhampton

Compared to some, very good value.

Fantastic views across the golf course and out to sea and only a few miles into Bude make this an excellent CL. Whilst it's £16/night, more than we would normally pay, it is good value when some sites want to charge £12-15 and give you nothing. Here you can use the well kitted gym, play on the 9 hole gold course, take to the driving range, wash your clothes in the laundry and enjoy the included use of 3 showers and 3 toilets. 2 are brand new and really well appointed and 1 is older, a little tired, but very functional and please remember - this is a CL charging £16/night not a 5 star resort. We would normally refuse to pay so much for a CL but in future we might take a longer look and check out just exactly what is included. Access is up a steep hill which is narrow in places but with care it's fine. The pitches all have water, are level hardstandings and as previously stated, come with beautiful views. My only gripe is that it is not 0.75 acres. It's not even 0.25 but then that's our Clubs doing and is a pet hate of mine........why do they lie to us so many times! This is not the sites fault.

Away from it all

We arranged to arrive a day early and as the usual certified pitches were still occupied we were given a grass pitch on the hill above the driving range which still had it's own tap. Beautiful views across Bude Bay and down the Cornish Coast. Shower and toilet facilities were basic but adequate. Bude Golf Course provides quality food at a reasonable price with a two course Sunday carvery for under £10. One word of caution - do not miss the entrance to the golf course, as we did as the gate at the far end of the lane is locked. Bay Leaf indian is also good.

True Grit

We stayed here for four days at the end of September 16. The view when the fog and mist finaly cleared was good with distant sea views accross the golf course. Nice and quiet too. The toilet and shower facilities, whilst not dirty, were not cleaned during our stay. It was very wet during our stay which made the fine agregate grit used as hard standing turn to somthing that resembled cement. It was awful. We have a hard rule of no outdoor shoes inside, but the gritty grey sludge was everywhere. Nice and handy for the town and local walks though. Perhaps we would have a better opinion if the weather had been better?

What a view

Had a great stay at Ivyleaf Cl , the approach road is up a steep single lane road, there is a Caravan and camping club cl halfway up the hill on the right with a very similar name to confuse matters. Keep going up the hill and the Golf course is at the top of the hill on the left. Great views from the CL. I would recommend the Cl if you're in the habit of strolling to the pub for a few on an evening this CL wasn't really suitable as you would be walking on a busy road with no footpath, so once you're at the CL Driving is the only realistic option if you feel like going out and about. The toilet facilities and showers are basic ,
