Just stayed at Bryn Llys for the second time. This is SUCH a special site. Welcomed personally by delightful owner Carlo who also helped us to shove our little van into place, on both occasions. The upper pitches are spacious with beautiful open views to the hills beyond and the lower ones are sheltered and wooded with access to a stunning water garden and a large lake, where herons can regularly be seen diving for food. Walks through the beautiful surrounding woodland include a 5 minute stroll to Bethesda where there is a lovely cafe as you emerge onto the Main Street. Other amenities include fab Indian takeaway, Tesco Express, Londis (with Post Office), chippy, launderette annd pubs. Endless possibilities for continuing up into the hills on tracks leading directly from the town.
Facilities on site are beautifully presented. A brand new shower room has just been completed which would grace any top quality hotel!
The on-site miniature railway, which tends to run on Tuesday afternoons, is a lovely bonus and was a huge hit with our visiting grandchild.
Bryn Llys is everything you’d hope for from a CL. And so much more.
A very special campsite
This is a really, really, lovely campsite, well-organised, very peaceful, with some good views, and a warm welcome. The site is very well-maintained, and the gardens are lovely - roses in full bloom at the moment. There are good walks nearby for dogs (and their owners), and the little meadow was excellent for early morning or late evening dog walks. The owner is very helpful and efficient and emails in advance, full directions, information on shops, restaurants, emergency numbers, walks etc - other campsite owners take note! All in all an excellent CL, and it won't be long before I'm back. Thank you, Carlo.
A tranquil site.
We stayed just after Christmas and the site is wonderful with beautiful scenery. It's immaculate throughout for a CL site and is by far the best CL site we have visited. Carlo is extremely helpful and described the several walks we could undertake with our small dogs. You really don't want to miss the opportunity of staying here.
Super little site
We visited this site for a short half term break away from our own CL. The owners are very helpful and greeted us warmly. Five good sized pitches in pretty surroundings which are quiet and very rural. Great walks from the site and an abundance of interesting places are within easy reach. When the showers are finally finished, I am sure that they will be a brilliant addition. two Loos are very modern and kept very clean. We would very much like to visit again when we are in North Wales sometime in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay. Greg, Lou, Harvey and Rufus from Poole Farm CL in Launceston.

A gem of a site
Superb tranquil site with woodland and ponds.
Beautifully maintained.
Excellent new toilet block.
Short walk into town to the shops and Bangor, Caernarfon and Llandudno within reach by car.
Carlo, the host, was very attentive and friendly; even managed to fix our water pump!
Top notch site.

Beautiful site
We stayed at Bryn LLys for four nights recently and had a fantastic time. We were greeted very warmly by Carlo on arrival, and he showed us our pitch/told us a bit about the site and the surrounding area. We were on a grassy pitch with plenty of space to ourselves which was nice - the hard standings are all dotted around, each one feels like it's in it's own private section of the site which is nice.
Facilities were being improved, so there was only one toilet open when we stayed, but we prefer to use our van facilities anyway - the new toilet block will be great when it opens!
The site is very peaceful, and the grounds, gardens & lake are wonderful for walking round. We particularly enjoyed the miniature railway running round the grounds and were lucky enough to be staying on a Tuesday when the local group of miniature railway enthusiasts meet up to run their trains on the tracks - we got to have two rides, which was a real highlight!
Overall, this is a lovely site and I would highly recommend it for the friendly hosts, the peach & tranquility and the location.
Lleoliad arbennig-Beautiful location
Lovely location and such a peaceful , relaxing site. We’re only an hour away but never walked up an around Llandygai-fantastic views of Chwarel Penrhyn, the Glyders and Sir Fôn. Loads of little footpaths to explore and next time we’ll do some proper hiking! Easy walk into Bethesda for the essentials, and lovely to be so close to the lake-a heron was a regular visitor and lovely to see.
Our only slight negative was the narrow driveway-if the hedges were cut a bit further back would avoid scratches to motorhome, but apart from that would thoroughly recommend the site for a proper chill out and if you like your walking it’s perfect. Diolch!
Great site… 100% returning
From the help the moment we tried to book the site, to being met upon arrival and offered help whenever this has been a fab stay. The rain was heavy overnight most nights but the site still looked great even in winter.
Everything was then topped off with fireworks for New Year which was shared with next four.. awesome display and nice to share with all other guests.
The paths around the site, the pond, the steams, the miniature railway just make this place so unique.
There’s a fab path across the road going onto the skate trail and zipworld in 10 mins walk.. continue to the trail past the river which was stunning esp after all the rain.
Take the path into Bethesda in under 10 mins too..
Def a great place and highly recommend!
Beautiful Site
We were met on arrival by the owner, Carlos, who was extremely welcoming and informative. We totally enjoyed a fabulous 4 night stay with friends. It is in a beautiful location, very scenic and tranquil. There is a short and pretty walk to the village which has a selection of shops and pubs. You can also walk to Zip World from the site if you are feeling adventurous.

Great site
This is a quiet peaceful site. We were met by the host who was welcoming and gave us info. The site is by a lake and part in tree's. There was work in progress on the facilities which would not have been available due to Covid restrictions. During our tour of North Wales we returned to the site for a second stay.
