We were booked in to stay on this site over the early May Bank holiday. When we arrived on the Friday there were four vans already on site, but the owner said that there had been some confusion and she thought some people might arrive who had not sent their deposit but didn't confirm how many. This is a lovely site in a nice setting and the field is relatively large. It does undulate though and there are limited pitches which provide level ground which does restrict where you can site the van. Our worries that there may be some significant noise from the nearby M6 was ill founded. Having pitched up we became concerned when during the rest of the afternoon two motorhomes and a caravan arrived and set up as well. Across from the entrance to the site, the owner has a barn with a yard in front which had one van on it when we arrived, but two motorhomes and a caravan also pitched up in this area the next day. These additional vans use the same water, shower and chemical disposal facilities as the CL. despite the web site saying their use is exclusive to the CL. The next day one of the motorhomes left the CL but another one took its place. Whilst we appreciate it was a Bank Holiday weekend, we purposefully choose to stay on CL sites with their 5 van limit. It is our suspicion that this was not a ‘one off’ event and that it could be repeated at other times of the year so if you are intending to stay on this site please be aware.
