Peaceful site

We have just returned from a visit to this CL site which is a credit to the relatively new owners. It has been improved by them with hard standing pitches which are serviced individually with electric and water points. The grey waste and rubbish area are under a roofed area that is well managed and maintained. The pitches are well maintained and easy to access, you can put up an awning without a problem, although steel pegs would be advisable. The site was quiet and very peaceful with a small wood, it is very near to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and is signposted from the main B road. The owners communication when booking gives directions into the site which should be followed. Entrance onto the site from the narrow Cornish lane was easy, although on our arrival it was very very wet and as you drive straight onto the grass from the gravel entrance that has a small gradient you need to be mindful of keeping a steady slow pace until the whole unit is on the level. Communications with the owners after booking was excellent, we were pleased to meet the owners who came to our pitch after we had set up to introduce themselves and talk us through the site facilities, local walks and pubs. All very helpful. Our thanks and appreciation to the owners.

Very well manicured site

Site owners very friendly took time out for a chat with us. We think this site is one of the best CL sites on the network pitches are perfect water on tap with hook up just like being on a mini Club Site. Not a weed in sight on the hard standings & very flat, grass is cut everything is very tidy. Toilet waste disposal & recycle bins are also very well set up under roof covered area. The site has it's own wooded area great for letting the dog off. The last approach to the site entrance is down the lane however very very seldom see any traffic therefore assess is easy, we managed to drive our 5m car & 7.5m caravan into the site without any bother the site gate is set back from the lane, use Google maps & GPS to locate the site entrance 50.265628, -4.811021. If going out and about always turn right out of the site as the lane if turning left does become very narrow. Gorran Haven is a short drive away nice but can be busy, if your planning to have a day on the beach at Gorran Haven would be worth using a beach trolley if you have a lot of kit as the car park is about 200 meters away. Mevagissey is within walking distance 1/2 hr more or less on that note as already said don't take any notice of your sat nav ! even with the settings for caravans the naff still has a go at sending you into Mevagissey, we call our sat nav SAT NAFF follow the Clubs directions and we were fine. Great site and great owners we will be back !

Beautiful site

Beautiful site with choice of grass or hardstanding pitch. Lots of hard work been done to create a beautiful peaceful atmosphere with well kept pitches. Pitches pre allocated so beware as we originally set up on the wrong pitch but owners are very friendly and welcoming. Will return

CREDIT TO NEW OWNERS - LOVELY SITE

We spent a lovely two weeks at Kerthua Park and could not fault it. The owners Mark and Jo were really nice and friendly. We visited twelve years ago and loved it then, but now it is even better. The new hardstanding pitches are a great size and very neat and tidy, lovely place to sit outside and watch the horses and wildlife (Also an option to have an all grass pitch). Nice clean Elsan point and bin area and the grass cut regularly. The dog walk (wood) is now absolutely brilliant, our Golden Retriever’s loved it, lots to explore and appreciated it even more when it was hot as lots of shade for them. Plenty of supermarkets within a short drive and lovely walks from site, we particularly liked the walks to Portmellon and to Mevagissy. Follow directions given by Owners, do NOT try to go through Mevagissy!

Lovely Site

This is a lovely, peaceful site. Booking by email was easy, and we were made to feel very welcome by Mark when we met him on the evening on the day of our arrival. The good sized pitches are well spaced out - having both water and electric hookup was excellent for our 5-day stay. Well worth a visit.

Very secluded rural site

We were a little nervous about the access to this site, and it is quite a long drive down typical narrow Cornish lanes, but we didn’t have any problems. The upside is the total peace and tranquility of the location which we really enjoyed. The pitches are huge and give you lots of privacy. We really appreciated the list of suggested walks left by Mark and Jo by the bin area, and we enjoyed visiting Heligan, Mevagissey, St Mawes etc. There are loads of birds around and the highlight for us was watching a barn owl hunting over the meadow at dusk. This is a perfect site for nature lovers and those who want to get away from it all, and it’s a good base for exploring this beautiful part of the world.

So happy to see this site back!

We first stayed on this site in 2010 again in 2011 and 2013. It was fantastic then and we were so disappointed when it disappeared when we looked to visit Cornwall again in 2019. When I saw it was open again in the magazine we threw caution to the wind and booked in January in the hope that COVID regulations would allow us to visit in June. We have just returned from a 2 week stay and cannot rate this site highly enough. Jo and Marc have worked very hard to enhance the site and it is better than ever. Huge pitches fully serviced with water and electricity and naturally screened for a bit of privacy. The site is immaculately kept and the nature copse planted by a previous owner is a wildlife haven. Jo and Marc are a lovely friendly couple and deserve to do well with this site. Book early you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic site

We were here for three nights on pitch 6, which we loved as it was quiet, spacious and had great views. Good directions from Jo on best way in to avoid narrow lanes as much as possible. Big marked pitch with its own water tap and EHU. Good recycling and toilet disposal point. Mark gave us excellent local travel tips to Vault beach (worth the extra walk from Portmellon), Dodman Point, Caerhays Castle and more. The weather was super as well! Perfect certified site!

A great place to get away from it all.

A really excellent site. Well maintained. Places to sit and enjoy your surroundings. Wildlife pond to sit beside. Woodland walk. Good space and privacy. Lanes are narrow to get there. Good walking from the site to Port Mellon and Mevagissey with some steep paths. Excellent hosts. Recycling, rubbish disposal and toilet emptying spotless. Electric and water at each pitch. Guinea fowl and pheasants to keep you entertained.

Wet and Windy Cornwall

The site is a lovely place to stay. The inclusion of electric and water on each pitch is a great bonus. The site itself has its own woodland, a pond and areas with picnic benches that allow you to sit out and enjoy the whole site. A very large open space, each pitch is private with trees planted to allow natural wind breaks. It’s close for local visits such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project and Mevagissey. We were met by Mark and his lovely dogs and had a great chat. I can highly recommend this site for anyone we will return later in the year as the weather was not kind and unfortunately left some unfinished sites to see.
