1st stay
We had been looking forward to coming to this site as it was close to home and a good price
On arrival the owners had gone out and when they came back did not come to see us. Lucky the couple next to us were family who told us everything.
The pitch we were allocated was on a bank and it took 3 attempts to get our caravan anywhere near level.
The water and bins close to each pitch were a good idea.
We took our dogs to the dog walk from the corner of the field, there’s no signage once you leave the field so we had to make our way through brambles/stinging nettles to a well cut path in Primrose Wood. We tried to walk around the wood but it was very boggy so we had to cut back along the steep bank back to the cl.
Unfortunately the next day we had some heavy showers and the field turned into a bog. Even the people on the other flatter side of the cl said it was also were boggy there. This has sadly put us off going back.
The owner Sue did come over as we were leaving, a day early, I explained due to the boggy, muddy field we had decided to go to early to clean everything up.
The village of Boxford is very charming with some lovely old houses.
