Sausage and Bacon

We stayed at this site for nine nights at the end of July and beginning of August. There is a narrow lane for about two hundred yards, but the entrance is good and wide. Five pitches with a small embankment around each. There is a tap in the back corner, but pitch five has its own. The owner arrived and gave us information about the area and some sausage and bacon from his own abattoir. There are distant sea views from each pitch. Good location for peace and quiet and getting around seeing the area. Toilet emptying point is about two hundred yards away (from pitch 5) if carrying a full holding tank. If in the area again, I would use this site.

Just beautiful!

Just arrived home after our third stay at Kilhallon Farm in as many months, we love it here. The countryside and sea views are stunning such a beautiful peaceful setting, our dogs love it too! James and his Wife are very welcoming nothing is too much trouble for them and on arrival we are greeted with a friendly face and a pack of Kittow farms own sausages and bacon for our breakfast, we used ours for a BBQ along with some very tasty beef burgers purchased from the farm. We can’t speak highly enough of Kilhallon farm and would recommend you give it a try! Sue & Tom Clow

Fabulous, we had an excellent time!

We had a fabulous time at this CL and the Welcome Pack was a lovely surprise and a great idea. We also purchased items from James during our stay and have to say the cheese and onion pasties were delicious too! The dogs loved it and the pitch sizes are brilliant with sea views and peaceful. We will definitely return and thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay. We placed an online order when we got home so we can enjoy a little bit of Cornwall at home! We loved it so well done James & Mrs you have a lovely set up, keep it simple! We also had a couple of takeaway fish & chips from Val's Place which were the best we have ever tasted so thoroughly recommend a visit there you won't be disappointed. We also had a pop top roof fitted to our van by Altitude Roofs based in Par and the service was brilliant should you ever need one!

2 night stay

We have just spent 2 nights at this beautiful site with a breathtaking view of the sea from our van. We enjoyed a lovely walk down to the beach where we found the beach very clean and quiet. James is the perfect host and together with his family made us feel very welcome. Just a short drive from the Eden Project. We will definitely return next year.

Warm welcome and lovely view

My wife and I arrived to a warm welcome from James bearing a welcome pack of his sausages and bacon - he’s a butcher. The CL was clean and tidy with lovely views to the sea and coastline in the distance. The grass pitches are very good size, divided by banks, with a hardcore access in front of the pitches. Due to our mobility challenges we didn’t explore the walking opportunities but enjoyed trips by car to Charlestown, Fowey, Lostwithiel, Polkerris and St Austell during our 6 night stay at beginning of September. Would use again next time we are in the area.

Outstanding CL

We had originally intended to stay for 3 nights and ended up staying for 6 nights. Arrival was straightforward - follow the directions and you won't go wrong. We were welcomed by James the owner with sausages and bacon that were absolutely delicious! Each pitch offers hook up and sea views and a water tap serving all 5 pitches is available. Grey waste was deposited in the hedge and toilet point is available in the adjacent field. The peace and quiet has to be experienced to be believed. The site is 10 minutes walk to a pub (the excellent Royal Inn), local shops and Par train station. We made full use of the train, visiting Looe, St Ives and Falmouth with cheap fares using a railcard. There is also a connection to Newquay which we'll try next time. Par itself feels like a corner of Cornwall unspoilt by tourism. An excellent site and one which we will definitely return to.

Hidden Jem

Just arrived back from a five night stay at this site ( April 2022) , it’s well worth a visit The owner’s were warm ,welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. It’s in a great location quite peaceful near the beaches and amenities. Tried a local pastie at Fowey only to find out it was from James the farmer/butcher whose site we were on needles to say it’s well WORTH stocking up on his Pasties, Sausages,Bacon, etc when you leave . Will definitely return sometime soon hopefully. Pete & Biddy

Quiet with Sea Views

We have just returned from a 6 night stay at this recently opened CL. The site is very peaceful and has views out over St Austel Bay. Par beach and local shops and the railway station are within walking distance. Fowey, The Eden Project, and the Lost Gardens Heligan are nearby. The site owner made us very welcome. He runs a wholesale butchers and grazing business from the farm but this did not cause us any disturbance. It is strongly recommended that visitors should try some of his excellent beef and/or his multi-award winning sausages. It is not recommended to approach the site except as instructed due to narrow roads. Well worth visiting, we intend to return.

Very quiet and peaceful

This newly established CL is perfect for peace and quiet. With its elevated location, there are good views across the bay. The owner was very welcoming & helpful and also provided a Welcome gift from the on-site butchery to help with the morning breakfast! The site is on The Saints Way which is a good walking route into Tywardreath and the New Inn pub with its large beer garden and great menu. For anyone concerned about the meat factory on site, it is a good distance from the campsite and does not disturb the quiet in any way. All I heard were the tame lambs in the field I overlooked! I would definitely recommend this new site and intend to return.
