Amazing Views

We have just had our first stay here and this site has amazing views, The Sun Inn a mile away and plenty of walking in the area. We loved the location and would stay again, however, we have one or two things to mention, our first encounter with the owners was a request to pay the full amount for our stay in advance a MONTH before our arrival, a deposit is sometimes requested but this is a first for us and we use cl sites most of the time. The instructions for A591 from Keswick, although appear clear on reading, the entrance is obscured and the caravan club sign is not clear on approach so nearly all new arrivals had to turn round in the hotel car park higher up the road. The pitches are all accessed by a single track road, as you can see in the picture, and are difficult to negotiate onto without a motor mover as you're not allowed on the grass (there are signs everywhere), if the caravans have awnings on the lower three pitches cars cannot park easily as there is only one car width at back of each caravan (there wasn't as much room as picture shows), so we had to keep asking the two other caravanners to move their cars to be let in and out. We also had a lot of heavy rain, the lower three pitches have very poor drainage and we were all waterlogged.
