Beautiful, peaceful site

This little beauty of a camp site was just perfect for us when we had two weeks in Cornwall recently. Very nice welcome from Pete and his wife. Bit tight along the narrow lane into the campsite but it was totally worth it. All you can hear is birdsong. We were very lucky with the weather. The pitches are huge and so you can position yourself in whichever direction you like. 20p per shower (4 minutes which is enough time for me to wash my hair and condition it etc.). Short trip by car to Rock beach and also Daymer bay. Visited the pub in Chapel Amble (Maltsters Arms) a couple of times for lunch and it was first class food. Dog friendly too! Can highly recommend this site.

A "Wee Gem"

What a "wee gem" of a site. A very warm welcome from Peter and Melanie, giving us plenty of information on the surrounding area and things to do and places to visit. The site is beautifully presented and so peaceful and sheltered. We were lucky enough to have good weather for the 7 nights we stayed here. Thank you for letting us share your lovely C.L. - "keep up the good work".  To all C.C. Members out there - this is one site well worth a visit.

Very peaceful 5 nights

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this very nice site. Very quiet and peaceful, easy access to local places of interest and good pubs. Would stay here again. Overall rating would have been a 5* had the advertised WiFi worked. This was one of the reasons we chose this site, but we were unable to get anything on the WiFi. Pete said it will be better when the superfast broadband arrives......

Great site

What a lovely 10 night stay we had, lovely weather, nothing too much trouble for Peter, pitches are really spacious, & pretty level. Local pubs are good for food & Cornish real ale, particularly The Malsters Arms & the St Kew inn. Good dog walking beach at Rock lovely coastal walks. We will definately be returning.

Peaceful and beautiful

Had a great 5 days at Kivells. Truly superb landscaped gardens leading to a "field" siting just 5 caravans. Tons of space and very friendly owners. Meant to make better use of the facilities i.e. table tennis room but we spent most days on the various beaches. One shower and loo - adequate for most caravanners but we didn't realise that you need 20p pieces for the shower - stock up before you go ! Local pub in Chapel Amble very good with a quiz night on Wednesdays. Highly recommended overall. Was a pain having no WiFi but Peter (the owner) tells me that a booster is being fitted so it will be just perfect. We also recommend The Journeyman restaurant at St Issey if you like Asian food. Thank you Peter and Mel we really enjoyed our stay at Kivells.

What a wonderful week

Have just had a wonderful week at Kivells. The CL is stunning, individual large pitches separated by mature trees and shrubs, with well cared for grass and facilities. Who cares if the loo and shower are not five star, they are clean and functional the site makes up for it. Warm welcome from Peter who has recently taken on the property, and my wife and I wish him every success. We will be back for sure

Tranquility

!A beautiful C L - it as if you are in a park. The site is just a mile off the busy A39 but is quiet and secluded and the owners helpful and friendly, unfortunately the weather was not good enough to use the swimming pool! Padstow and the surrounding area are within easy reach as are many superb pubs, serving good food.

Best site we have enjoyed for many years.

What a delightful site with pitches screened by mature trees, peaceful and sunny. Friendly owners who supplied information and maps of the area. Lots of places of intrest and several dog friendly beaches too. The lane is narrow as are many in the area but seldom met any problems and arriving and leaving was uneventful. I hope whoever takes this on will not spoil this idilic spot.

Fabulous Site.

What a wonderful site. Lane down is a little narrow but we managed ok. Very relaxed site, the owner was quite happy to let our dogs play ball outside our pitch (they are very well behaved). The pitches are a fantastic size with trees and bushes separating them. Toilet and shower are basic but they do the job! Easy access to lots of places. The owners are selling so hope whoever takes over will keep it as a CL as its very good. Would definitely return.
