Wet four days

We stayed 4 nights on this well cared for CL to visit the local area. The weather was very wet and the ground conditions sodden even so we had no trouble getting onto the hard standing pitch we selected. We round the facilities offered to be clean and well kept although it was too cold in the building housing the showers and toilets to use the showers, In the warmer months I would expect this not to be a problem. The hard standings are just about long enough to park a caravan and car on them but are not wide enough to avoid stepping out onto soaked ground. Having a large motorhome I would have also liked to see the trees on the access track cut further back. The area is great for walking and there is a Country Park nearby with a good visitors centre and café and a replica Anglo Saxon village. There is a bus service into Bury but we did not use it or check its frequency. We hope to return in better weather.
