'ONE NIGHT STAND!!'

Used this site for an overnight stop to Devon, I agree with 'Mad Welshman' in all that he has written, we didn't find the noise over powering during the night as we thought it might be noisy; We had a nice meal at the Brewers Fayre nr Axbridge and a short drive to look around the interesting village and as we do geocaching found 1 cache. Good value for the money at £10 per night and £2 10 for electric' Certainly a convenient place to break your journey

Well maintained

Weekend away at this site, which backs on to Sedgemoor services car park, separated by trees, shrubbery and a reen. Flat, well mown pitch overlooking fields on one side, trees and hedges on 2 others. Very entertaining with four very "round" pigs, lovely horse, donkey, couple of sheep and loads of wild rabbits. Ideally situated for access to M5 - unfortunately we were unable to go anywhere as our windscreen was chipped on route so arranged for Halfords to come and repair, which they did at no extra cost. Son and 10 yrd old granddaughter joined us on Sat - they visited Wookey hole caves, not too far away. The girl enjoyed the play area at the top end of field and giving the animals carrots with permission from Mrs Phillips. They slept soundly in a pup tent. as we don't have an awning and were not disturbed by the hum of traffic on M5 - nor were we. The only thing we heard was if a motorbike started up in the services, which lasted all of a 30 seconds and very very infrequent. We saw a garden centre and two or three lovely looking eateries nearby and a co-op that sold locally made sausages - rather yummy! Electric is by meter, something we find fairer as we only use it for TV, [reception excellent] and charging phone - cost for weekend was 50p! Mrs Phillips is a lovely, pleasant lady, very helpful - at £8-00 a night you can't go wrong.

Our Go To Site- A Treasure Of A Find

This will be our 3rd time here as we love it. The site owner and family are friendly and helpful. The site is a short distance from both Chedder and Weston Supermare. It also is a few minutes walk from the services via the back route in rather the motorway which is a pleasant walk and convinient if you don't want to get in the car and you need to pick up any basics. The site is peaceful and has a small childrens play area which can be viewed from the caravan giving the children some independence to play. There are some animals on the farm and the children love watching them! The site owner even let the children help with feeding the pigs. The site has hard standing and grass for pitching. It is so close to the services and motorway but we were never bothered by any noise its surprisingly tranquil for its location. Best cl site we have been to so far!! In fact we are here again now enjoying it

Going Back

Going back again in November as it was so good. Good welcome, good pitch, good access, good location. Give it a try, you will not be sorry. Maybe we will see you there as this will become one of our regular stops!

Little gem

We chose this as an overnight stop on our way up the M5 from Cornwall but plan to go back for longer and explore the surrounding area, The traffic noise from the M5 is audible but didn't bother us at all. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner and the site is well tended and facilities close at hand.Nice flat, sunny site too and we loved Sophie the huge pig! There are things for children to play on although there were no children there when we were. Access was easy and it's literally 5 minutes or so from the M5. Very reasonably priced too.
