This is a beautiful site in a lovely part of the country. It’s well laid out, tidy and really peaceful. We found plenty of walks and some beautiful countryside. We were only able to stay for 2 nights over a weekend but when booking we enquired, as we often do, if we would be able to stay until 3.00 pm on the Sunday to make a proper weekend and this was agreed. We were a little disappointed,therefore, to not only find there was an additional charge for staying beyond 2.00pm, but also as we left the site at 10.00 to walk the canal towpath and have lunch, we were met at the gate and told to vacate the pitch at 11.30. After a hasty walk we packed up and left. It would have been nice to have been told this when the booking was made or even as we arrived on the Friday. Lovely site but not one to go for just a weekend away.
